Door County Wisconsin

December has come… and many of us have begun the Holiday Scramble.  All of my  presents are wrapped… but our Christmas decorations still remain in the Attic!   Believe it or not… I am lounging at The LakeHouse on a beautiful warm day!

Edinboro Lake, Pa.

I am enjoying the company of family and friends and that’s what Holiday Celebrations are ALL about! Don’t you worry… I’ll be headed back to Arizona very soon… and those Christmas Decorations will come down out of the attic.

But in the meantime… I am thinking of this past summer when we took a road trip to Door County, Wisconsin! Such a beautiful area!

Such Gorgeous Farmland…

On our way we saw beautiful sights!

Lake Huron
Mackinac Bridge
Crossing over the Bridge…
Washington Island
A Loon… my most favorite creature…

Lambeau Field
Beautiful red barns dotted the landscape so beautifully!

We decide to go visit some friends from Arizona because their Summer Cottage is so close. A ferry takes us across Lake Michigan to Washington Island, Wisconsin.

One of the many ferries that cross Lake Michigan to Washington Island.

Our friends waving to us… what a beautiful greeting!

We end the day sitting on their deck watching a beautiful glow on Lake Michigan.

Stay tuned for my next post of beautiful captures of Washington Island.

  1. Love Door County. Will need to return one of these days! Safe travels back to Arizona when it’ll be time for cocktails and a sunset. That hill is lonely 😁

    1. Yes it will be…
Hmmm… after I do a little Christmas scramble and get twisted in Christmas lights and put tubs all over the living room.
Then bring on the Sunsets !!

  2. Your photos are gorgeous! We’re thinking of Door County this year as we make our way back across the country in late spring. Happy Holidays!

    1. You will enjoy it! Its a beautiful area. Lots of Lighthouses as well. I did not get any pictures of those as we were antiquing way tooooo much and had to make it to the ferry on time to cross us over to Washington Island.

    1. Thank you my friend! I do make Photo Books of our vacations but I am still working on our European Vacation. All the photo books I make end up on our Coffee Table! HA HA HA

  3. Amazing. A beautiful geography and you certainly do capture the beauty with your lens. High excitement on that eagle. I have been chasing birds all this past year, mostly in vain, and know the difficulty and thrill when they hold still and the shutter clicks. Beautiful post. Thank you.
