Floral Frenzy

What is it about flowers that just make us smile!

Is it their blooming petals?

These flowers are from the Easter Lily Cactus. They last only a day.

Or is it their color?

Maybe it’s their abundance…

Could it be their fragrance? The floral scent of a flower fulfills the senses.

Lilacs are one of my most favorite flowers because of their heavenly fragrance. 💜

Does it matter the time of year?

Winter…

Poinsettia

Spring…

Crocus

Summer

Or Fall

Flowers bring so many of us joy including God’s creatures.

And when flowers are put into Floral Bouquets… my heart goes a flutter.

How about you? Why do flowers bring you joy?

I am linking up with my personal friend Ingrid at Live Laugh RVwith her Wandering Wednesday theme of Flowers!!

Until Next Time ~Nancy

  1. I love the colors, the scents, the variations, all of it really. And I especially love the tenacity of wild flowers.

    1. Wildflowers do have tenacity! Well said.

Just the other day a friend was pointing to very pretty flowers… she thought they were weeds. I called them wildflowers and then she loved them!

      Thanks for the flower love!

  2. Fantastic collection of florals … ahhh, the smell of lilacs. There are times I miss the lush gardens back east. As much as one may try, the southwest just can’t attain that lush feel filled with wonderful aromas.

    1. It’s true… we miss the lush of the East… but truth be told… it’s the white stuff we dislike.

And as we know the Southwest Spring is ah-mazing!

      1. Love it when the desert is in bloom – something special about it. Hopefully we’ll get some rain this year 🤞

  3. Hi Nancy 🙂 I think, like you, I simply love everything there is to love about flowers. They have this uncanny ability to shine a little light onto anything (that may otherwise be) drab or dreary. I like to think they are Mother Nature’s little rays of hope.

  4. Your photographs are works of art. And, I love flowers for all of the reasons you mentioned and because when I look at them and marvel at their beauty and the realization that surely a superior being was responsible for their creation. Otherwise, how do you explain all these things because I refuse to accept that someone like Monsanto is responsible. 🙂

    1. Works of Art… whoa! I am honored by your words!

And God is to be given ALL the glory. Not Monsanto!

Judy… I had a Siberian Iris just bloom in my garden. It’s not a bearded iris and it blooms late! I’m going to send you a picture of it through IG messenger. It stunning!

    1. There’s just something about lilacs. These lilacs are from my neighbor when I lived in Ohio.

I have some here in Pennsylvania but we had to cut them back last year. They have lots of new growth and will be fabulous next spring!

  5. Those flowers are all exquisite! I’m a sucker for details, and besides the facts that all the spectacular colors makes me happy, the often intricate patterns you find if you look closely captivates my interest. Thank you for a very beautiful post.

  6. What a treat to see these gorgeous flowers, especially no bloom under the Texas heat! Thank you so much for sharing.
    Have a great weekend, Nancy!

    1. I am so glad you got to see this post! The gardens this year at both houses are growing so well. The hard and long winter in Pennsylvania didn’t cause any problems for the gardens.

      Thanks for the garden love!
