Have you been in a Triathlon?
Our lake sponsored one and we got to watch it! My nephew and his wife participated.
The early morning sun was bright and warm but the water was not. Thank goodness for wetsuits! They both said that the wetsuits really help in keeping them warm but also buoyant. Which I found interesting.
Cheering them on from the beach is the easy part!
As they were swimming… I noticed how many bikes were waiting for them.
I also took in the Lakeside beauty…
But back to cheering them on!
Here they come!
They ended up doing very well! My nephew came in first for his age group and tenth overall… and his wife came in second for her age group! Congratulations!

I did triathlons for about 10 years starting in my late 30s. (so a long time ago) The sport was really starting to boom when I stopped. Congrats to them for doing so good!.

No, not me! It’s fun to watch especially if you have someone to cheer for. Congratulations to your nephew and his wife, Our daughter was in one at Disney World way back before she had children. We went there to cheer her on and it was really fun to see. They got to run through the Magic Kingdom while we waited in the summer heat.
Oh my …the Florida Summer heat?!? But in Disney World all is worth it!

Definitely not my thing. However, our daughter and SIL are training for a triathlon that takes place in August. She has been wearing her bike pants to swim so she can get use to jumping on the bike with wet pants. Doesn’t sound like fun at all. Glad you family did so well.
Yes… it’s quite interesting to watch. Some actually change clothes and dry themselves off. They must think they can catch up,on time when riding!
