Tuesday Tidbits #34

Need a quick and fun accessory for your 4th of July Table?

Painted Wine glasses can add some pizzazz!

I enjoy using vintage pieces here at the LakeHouse which was built before I was born! It is my childhood home. Speaking of childhood… when I was in middle school… I started collecting ruby red glassware and dishes etc. Now I get to use it here at the LakeHouse. And when I add the painted wine glasses… it just makes me smile!

As soon as I saw my friend Jenna’s tutorial on how to make these flag wine glasses… I knew I had to have them! Jenna from The Painted Apron Blog does many different kinds of tutorials of all sorts! Food recipes and her amazing artwork… please check her out!

I headed to my craft room in the basement…

I started with the blue square and let it dry. Then made the white lines with a flowing stroke. Once again I let it all dry. I added the red lines. Then white dots to resemble stars on the blue square.

Simple easy and fun!

Some faux geraniums and flags were added to my ruby glass vase.

My vintage salt and pepper shakers add some 50’s style. Don’t you think?

Put it all together… and it’s a Vintage 50’s style 4th of July tablescape!

Thanks so much for visiting! I sure hope you give wine glass painting a try! It’s easy and quite forgiving!

Have a Safe 4th of July!

Until Next Time ~Nancy
