It’s cool and breezy…
Windows are open…
Soup is simmering…
Feels like Fall!

Welcome and Happy September!
Soup’s On! I’m still not hurrying Summer… but I sure enjoy the cooler temperatures.
These cooler temps made for a delightful day at a nearby winery. Sipping wine by the grapes and smelling their sweet fragrance was heavenly. The grapes are ready to be harvested.

Surprisingly there are 42,000 acres of vineyards along Lake Erie in Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York. And many more acres that spread into Canada. The local wineries are making fabulous wine.

From Wine to Ducks
It’s that time of year when the lake starts hosting many migratory ducks. This is one I have not seen before.
This weeks Creature Features

With Fall approaching we can hear the calls of the Canadian Geese as they fly in formation overhead. On the Lake we had hunters waiting for some to land on the lake.

Fall Blooms

I brought some sedum inside along with my Tea Cups… I found it quite enjoyable!

I wish for all of you to have a lovely week ahead… thank you so much for the visit!

The bees are loving the sedum this time of year, and I LOVE your floral arrangements. Beautiful! The soup looks good too. 🙂
Thank you Judy! The soup was fabulous and there’s nothing like Sedum in your Fall gardens!
Have a lovely Tuesday my friend.
Yes, we can’t hurry summer away, Nance, but we sure do feel fall knocking at our door over on this side of the country, right?
We sure are! I saw lots of pumpkins in a pumpkin patch yesterday!
Nancy, autumn is approaching and I am so ready. What fun to visit a winery and be able to pick grapes. Cooler weather is perfect for soup, seeing yours makes me want a bowl for lunch. I will show Butch the duck and see if he knows what kind it is. Your sedum is gorgeous with the lovely cups.
Happy Tuesday, my friend!
Happy Tuesday sweet friend. I gathered the sedum last evening and just wanted a simple gathering with my tea cups. Thank you for checking with Butch about the Duck… we are stumped!
Enjoy your Tuesday and thank you so much for stopping by.
Beautiful pink.
Sedum is such a lovely addition to a fall garden. And especially loved by our wonderful pollinators!
Enjoy your Tuesday my friend!
I never thought of bringing seedum in the house — it’s beautiful! I missed our last Cork Poppers wine tasting (too many people!) so my tasting has been limited to our six-for-sixty wines from a local wine store. Still good, but you miss the ambiance! It sounds wonderful and such a grand time! Thanks for your visits to Marmelade Gypsy, too!
I always enjoy stopping by your place!
Thanks for stopping by here!
Happy Tuesday!
Autumn is a-coming.
It sure is!
Cooler temps, lucky you!! I had no idea there are wineries in your area, it’s so much fun to visit wineries and taste the wines. Your tea vignette with the sedum is beautiful, and the cups and teapot gorgeous!
Jenna
Thank you so much Jenna! Yes… our wineries are fabulous!
I love your “welcome to fall” post. So many beautiful pictures! Your trip to wine country would be so much fun this time of year. That winery has put a lot into making their tastings and their landscaping elegant. Thanks for sharing it.
I’m so glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for stopping by my friend.
Woke up to 50 degree weather today. I love summer but I’m ready for sweatshirt weather NOT coats yet!!!
I hear ya!
Beautiful pictures and been by Madison many times. My husband grew up in Ashtabula.
It’s a small world!
Thank you so much for the visit, Diane! Happy Tuesday!
