Tuesday Tidbits #145 A Sunset, A Moonrise, A Sunrise… Oh My!

Hello Friends… another Tuesday has arrived. And tomorrow Autumn arrives as well.

Pumpkins are arriving at the stores and farmer’s markets!
A butternut squash will arrive on a table soon!
The cornfields are ready to be cut and will arrive for someone’s Halloween Decor!
Pumpkin Beer has arrived at our local watering hole!

Welcome to another Tuesday Tidbits!

and

Welcome Fall!

I enjoy sharing our weekly doings with you but lately I find it hard to sit down at the keyboard to organize my thoughts and pictures. (Maybe I’m getting old!) It’s been another busy week. Perhaps you should grab your coffee… I may have picture overload this week!

ART ON THE ROAD

We had to make a run to Home Depot and decided to head south to Meadville, Pennsylvania. Across the street from Home Depot is this amazing Art made out of Road Signs!

It’s long… so it has to be captured in several pictures.

A closer look!

Such creativity! We see this fabulous Art often but decided it was time to take pictures of it! We are always amazed and in awe as we pass it.

Sunset Cruise

From Art to boat rides… We enjoyed a lovely sunset cruise on Edinboro Lake from our Pontoon. It was the golden hour…

These are Cormorants perched high in the tree. This weeks Creature Feature!

As the sun was setting… the moon was rising.

From a Sunset with a Moon Rise

to a Morning Sunrise.

From our kitchen window… there are advantages to making coffee in the morning!

After making the morning coffee and watching the sunrise from the kitchen window… a delightful breakfast was made.

A Bacon and Vegetable Frittata was made. Recipe can be found… HERE!

New Squash

A Buttercup Squash was found at a local market and it was highly recommended. So it came home with me along with an Acorn Squash. I think we have a new favorite. The Buttercup is a bit sweeter in taste then the Acorn. We loved it!

Sweet man thought it was gnarly looking…but quite delicious!

The Time Has Come to say Goodbye until Next Week.

Thanks so much for stopping by. It’s always a pleasure to hear from you. I wish for you to have a wonderful week ahead and Happy Fall!

    1. Good Morning Judy…
I’m going to try to find out who the artists are of the road sign art and will get back to you.
Thanks for enjoying our week right along with us.
      Happy Tuesday!

  1. Thank you for the road sings, sunset and moon rise and all of this week’s great photos, Nance. Happy start to fall for you, yes. No such thing as photo overload.

    1. Good Morning Chris. We have had amazing sweet corn this summer from the local farm markets. We will miss these farm markets when we head west.
The road sign art is pretty cool. I’m going to find out who the artists were.
Have a wonderful Tuesday my friend.

  2. Love the fall colors and all those pumpkins! The mural is fabulous! Thanks for stopping to take photos and share them with us. Happy Fall!

  3. Nancy, the photos are stunning as always. The art made from road signs is amazing, so glad you decided to stop and make photos. Your boat rides look so peaceful and perfect. Yum, the frittata…now I am hungry. Sunsets, moon rises, and sunrises all beautiful. Happy Tuesday, my friend!

  4. Oh, that moonrise! Wasn’t it glorious, that huge moon? And even better rising than later. I never got a good photo – -but it’s a wonderful memory of the heart. A sunset cruise sounds lovely and I’m wild about that artistic wall! Fabulous! Happy week!

  5. Gorgeous photos Nancy, and the art mural made of signs is incredible! Wow! I wonder how long it took to make that! Your frittata sounds amazing, what a perfect breakfast. I’ve not heard of a buttercup squash, I thought it was a pumpkin 🙂 I will look for one, as I adore acorn squash this time of year. Have a wonderful week~

    1. The Buttercup is delicious. Sweet man and I stood at the kitchen counter after both squashes cooled down a bit and then taste tested. We really enjoyed the Buttercup better!

    1. I love growing it here in Pennsylvania… because I can’t in AZ. I have tried everything when we are in AZ… it just goes limp and dies.

      1. I can not grow it in AZ…Indoors and outdoors.
I can grow it here in Pennsylvania without any problem…indoors and outdoors.
I think it is due to Arizona being Arid.

  6. Nancy, I think your problem is that you have too many wonderful things going on OUTSIDE your computer. That is a wonderful problem to have: from sunrise to sunsets, PA in the fall has so much to offer. Enjoy your week and thanks for sharing. That art is amazing and so creative. Recycling at its best!

    1. Ya know… I think you are right. Sweet Man and I are always up to something!
Oh, Stay tuned… I found out who made that art and will share in my next post.
Thanks for the visit my friend! Enjoy your week!

  7. You definitely captured fall in the east. What beautiful photos from your boat! A spectacular evening. I LOVE winter squash of all kinds. I miss hitting the produce stand and having my pick of fresh winter squash. You must be getting ready to head west again soon.

    1. Today it really feels like fall… a high of 58 and a chilly 58! Yes… we will be heading west but we want to enjoy some Fall festivities first.
Enjoy your week… you have been traveling to some beautiful places!

  8. Fall is certainly in the air in the east. I can’t wait to feel a real autumn in a few weeks. In the meantime, Dewey will be a day trip.

The street art is fantastic. I would have loved a stop there as well.

    Happy Tuesday, Happy Autumn! Donna

    1. Hi Donna… this evening we may turn the heat on. It is quite chilly out. 58 for a high and a cold breeze.
Please stay tuned… I found out more about the street art. I will be explaining who the artist is in my next post.
Thanks for enjoying and please stop back.
      Have a great weekend.
