Tuesday Tidbits #215 Desert Ride~Let’s Go!

We started out for a desert ride which was planned and the route was created. However… the main road to the trail was CLOSED! 😳 CLOSED due to a triathlon. Ugh!

So a plan B was needed. Well… sweet man to the rescue! He happened to have another route mapped out which could get us to where we needed to be but our ride would be longer. We all agreed… let’s go!

Off we went!

Right at the beginning of our ride we saw our favorites… Burros!

Burros!
They are always fun to see!
🌵💚🌵
We were all amazed of how tall this saguaro was along with the amount of arms.

We always stop for old ruins of any kind.

We were all asking each other who lived here and why.
Always interesting!

While everyone was checking out the foundation… I found some flowers!

Pretty little things!

It was time to explore. So we set out onto the trail.

Let’s Go!
💚
Do you see the baby calf?
Mountains and saguaros never get old!
We love seeing saguaros!
However, I also love seeing desert wildflowers!
🍃💛🍃
🍃💛🍃
Lupines and Desert Marigolds.

I also love seeing clouds!

Thank you!

We love our desert! Thank you so much for coming along on our Desert Ride with us! It was a great ride!

Enjoy your last day of February!

As I always try to convey… we sure do appreciate all of you. Thank you for joining us for another Tuesday Tidbits.

Wishing all of you a wonderful week ahead. Enjoy what this upcoming week brings to you. And whatever you have planned… make every day count and be thankful for your Blessings.

  1. You guys need a couple of horses for your ride. 🙂 The burros are handsome, and the wild flowers including the gorgeous lupines are a welcome sight. You are lucky that you love your winter dessert and your summer lake residences – best of both worlds.

    1. We are truly blessed! Arizona is one of the states that lets you ride openly on Bureau Land Management land and on State Trust Land if you carry a yearly permit.
Pictures sometimes just can’t show all the views we see out here in the Wild, Wild West!
Thanks for all you wonderful comments. It’s always so good to hear from you!

  2. Your desert photos perk me up as I sit here in Central New York with the snow falling on the last day of February, Nance! And I must say, the term road on the route Sweet Man took as Plan B is used very loosely! But it got you to the great sights!

    1. The Wild, Wild West has spectacular views! It was a beautiful ride in the back country of our amAZing Arizona! Thanks for coming along!

  3. Another lovely adventure!
I am also mesmerized by old ruins and foundations. When I was a kid, I use to go bottle hunting in the woods with my aunt. She could look at a landscape where a house used to be and instinctively know where the old dump would have been. She was almost always right, and she would tell you how the house was sited by the directions, an d what the forest was like a hundred years ago or more.

  4. Hi Nancy, I love to go on your desert excursions! The cacti is amazing! What fun to caravan with friends and explore the countryside~our temps are in the upper 70s today with bright sunshine so I’m a happy girl 😎 Happy Tuesday!!

    1. Oh how we love our warmer temps!
We do enjoy caravanning with friends! It’s also for safety reasons too.
I am so glad you enjoy seeing the cacti and the desert landscape. We love it!
      Thanks for the visit, Jenna!

  5. Oh how I love joining you for these rides in the desert! The burros are beautiful! Desert wildflowers and those lupines are all stunning. You and Sweet Man live an adventuresome life and seem to enjoy every moment!

    Happy Tuesday, sweet friend!

    1. We are adventurous… but I just saw what you shared on Instagram! WOW! You went Dog Sledding! How fun!
Thank you so much for stopping by. I always enjoy your visits! Happy Tuesday dear Pam.

  6. Oh, it’s already the first day of March over here and I’m thrilled that cooler weather is now just around the corner (although we have a mini heatwave coming this week). Those Lupines and Desert Marigolds look so delightful together and I know how much you delight in those Saguaros 🌵 Happy Tuesday to you, Nancy.

  7. Happy Tuesday, Nancy! You always share the most beautiful spots with us! It looks like you had a wonderful time! Enjoy your week, sweet friend!

    1. They are usually near water. We saw these burros near Lake Pleasant. Are you near Lake Bartlett? They will be around the back country there.
      Thanks for the visit!

  8. I’m surprised you didn’t join in the triathlon, hahaha. But it’s good you had a plan B. How fun,
    XOOX
    Jodie

  9. What a great trip. Thank you for sharing your wonderful photos. I love the burros and lupines particularly. When I see ruins like those you came across, I wonder what happened that made them leave after having put themselves into the land. There must be an interesting story behind each one of those.

  10. Oh, a great ride on this day, Nancy. The burros are always extra, and so are the wildflowers. To think we can see snow covered mountains while searching for wildflowers is such a gift of our desert. And I agree with Jodie, Next time join the Tri… lol. (Or pretend to for cool photos) Our desert looks heavenly though your eyes.

    1. I believe one of us said we were going to join in on the triathlon… but the security guard kind of laughed at us… 😃
It’s been a breath of fresh air to see the snow on the mountains! We live in a beautiful place my friend. Thanks for enjoying! Have a lovely weekend!
