Tuesday Tidbits #380 Summer Fun!

Happy July!

Did you hear Travis And Taylor got married this past weekend?!  I am talking about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. I wasn’t invited. Were any of you? I have yet to see what the Bride looked like. Oh well, let’s talk about our little ole life over here at Two Trails One Road.

The Poker Lilies bloomed!

A Wonderful 4th of July

Every once in a while, a weekend comes along that reminds you what summer is all about. Not because of anything spectacular, but because of all the little things that quietly happened and filled your heart.

If summer could be wrapped into one long weekend, I think this one would come pretty close.

It all started with a trip to Ohio to The Blossom Music Center /Pavilion to see The Guess Who perform. What a fabulous concert. They were outstanding. They played all their hits and also many of Bachman-Turner Overdrive hits. The lead guitarist of The Guess Who was also the lead guitarist of BTO.

We were under the pavilion at Blossom.

But then the weekend of the 4th came.

It was all about family gathering together making new memories and talking about the old memories. Which definitely brought laughter.

Can you hear the laughter in our living room?

A little boy, who we call our grandson, in a red, white and blue wagon. Flags waving along Main Street. Fireworks reflected on the lake. Family gathered around the table. Laughter echoing through the house. (There was lots of laughter!) We had a house full! It doesn’t get much better than that. That was our 4th of July weekend! Our house may have been filled but so is my heart!

Our kids even had bubbles for our little guy!

We sat on our boat to view fireworks all around the lake. What fun!

Our summer home is located in one of those true Americana towns. Children decorate bikes and wagons, people wave flags, the Star-Spangled Banner is sung at local events, and neighbors gather together. It feels like stepping into a Norman Rockwell painting.

AI creation.

Hope you can see this video. This family sings The Star Spangled Banner every year on the 4th.

Summer Bucket List

I have been checking off a few Summer items off my Bucket List. Catching a sunset on the lake was one of them and being with family was the other.

So peaceful!

A Big Surprise!

Another thing that made me smile this week was our little cactus blooming. Who would have thought I’d be growing a cactus outdoors in northwest Pennsylvania? It felt like Arizona sent me a tiny hello. I got a cutting of this cactus a few years ago from a woman who lives in Westfield, New York. She had a large one. Last year, I thought this cactus was a goner because something ate it. But this year it grew two new paddles, and then it bloomed!

Thank You!

Thank you always for your visits. I appreciate your kind words and sweet comments. We are experiencing Wi-Fi issues. I had a hard time putting this post together. I hope to catch up with all of you very soon! The Internet provider is coming a week from today. It’s remarkable how we all depend on

Wi-Fi signals!

As always, I appreciate you so much. I hope the rest of your week is peaceful and restful. I will be resting up as well.
