Tuesday Tidbits #229 June is Here!

Hello Friends!

There hasn’t been any rain since we arrived here at the Lake House. It’s been almost two weeks. The sun has shined almost daily except for some hazy days due to the smoke from the Canadian fires. This gardener has been in full workhorse mode! Weeding, trimming bushes, planting, and watering is part of my everyday routine, and I love it! Even though ibuprofen has to be taken before bed.

What’s Growing and Blooming

Locally… the corn and soybean fields are planted. Hay is cut!

The peonies are blooming!
Our iris!
Blooming wild phlox or Dame’s Violet?
Garden chives!
Salvia trying to bloom!
Allium
Vinca Minor

Many of our perennials are struggling to make a comeback. There was much less snow than usual, and perennials need that blanket of snow when there are frigid temps. It’s insulation! Then on top of that, there were several late frosts. We don’t have any lupines blooming. However, I did see these blooming down by the lake.

The purple rhodies make lovely bouquets!

Bike Rides

We have been delighting in bike rides by the lake. It’s great exercise, and we enjoy doing this together.

My favorite tree on the lake!
Cutest shed ever!
Pretty landscaping!

Triathlon

This past weekend was the annual Triathlon. Watching the Edinboro Triathlon was fun and we cheered everyone on!

One of many!

Thank You!

That’s a wrap! It’s been a busy week, and that’s all I got for you but I am so glad we got to spend some time together.

As I always try to convey… we certainly appreciate all of you. Thank you for joining us for another Tuesday Tidbits.

We wish all of you a wonderful week ahead. Enjoy what this upcoming week brings to you. And whatever you have planned… make every day count and be thankful for your Blessings.
