Tuesday Tidbits #271 April Projects Completed!

It’s Finished!

The house is finally back to its original state, and I couldn’t be more thrilled! All three bedrooms now have stunning tiles that enhance each room perfectly!

The daybed in my office comes in handy when we have multiple guests. As you can see from my office treasures, I surround myself with the things I love.

We sorted through our files, clothes, craft items, books, and knick-knacks and happily donated bags of no longer necessary items. It’s all so fresh and clean now!

Blogger Meet Up

A Queen Butterfly enjoying the blooms.

I need to share a few pictures of the Desert Botanical Gardens, where seven of us blogging friends met and strolled through the beautiful cacti in bloom. Unfortunately, we did not get a group picture, most likely because we had so much fun chatting away.

I, of course, snapped a few pictures of them taking photos.

I had to share these lovely Poppies.

Adventure Time!

We had a fun time on our latest adventure with friends! Our journey took us to incredible places, including Tucson, Bisbee, Tombstone, and several ghost towns like Fairbank, Gleeson, Courtland, and Pierce. We also explored a few very old nonfunctioning mines, which added to the thrill of the trip. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience that left us with fantastic memories to cherish forever. Grab a beverage and enjoy the photos!

Tucson

Fairbank Ghost Town

Located in the San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area.

Bisbee

Located in the Mule Mountains of Southeast Arizona, this town is a fun destination with a unique personality. Some say quirky, and others say, “Keep the Weird in Bisbee.”

Tombstone

We had dinner with friends at Big Nose Kate’s Saloon in Tombstone. This town in Southeast Arizona became more famous after the movie Tombstone. Doc Holliday, Wyatt Earp, and Johnny Ringo once walked the streets here.

Gleeson Ghost Town

In 1794 John Gleeson had a Copper Mining Claim and the town of Gleeson, AZ began.

Courtland and Pearce Ghost Town

Funny Story- My Cowgirl purse decided to fall apart on the trip. It was old! I bought a new Cowgirl purse in Tombstone. On our way to Pearce, we encountered a PackRat Table where people had left cool things behind. Well, I left my old Cowgirl purse! You will see it hanging at the Pack Rat Table.

Home Sweet Home

We had an eventful few weeks as you can tell from this long post. Thank you for reading this far!

    1. Busy I am! That’s for sure!
      But it’s a fun busy!
These new floors made me go through so much and get rid of unnecessary stuff. I am feeling so good about that!
The adventure was great. And now, this week, I can relax.
Thanks for stopping by, dear Judy. Happy Tuesday!

  1. Nancy, you have been a busy lady the past few weeks! I know you are excited to get your house back in order after adding beautiful tile to the bedrooms. It feels good to get organized, something I need to work on. The Desert Botanical Gardens are gorgeous and how fun to meet up with fellow bloggers! The ghost towns are absolutely amazing. Your state has so much to offer, we need to get back to Arizona. Tombstone is one of our son’s favorite movies. Thanks for sharing this most enjoyable post, my friend.

    Happy Tuesday!

    1. I am so happy you enjoyed it. Our state does have lots to offer.
I always am glad you stop by for a visit. Thank you sweet Pam!

  2. Wow so many great photos and fabulous places to explore, and how fun to do it with friends! You have been on the go! Love your new tile floors, such a nice clean look. I’ve got to ask about the frogs, what is the story behind them? Happy Tuesday Nancy, thanks for taking us along on your adventure!

    1. Thanks for enjoying today’s post!
I have frogs in all my gardens as they add whimsy. The frogs in my office were given to me from Sweet Man. He knows I love frogs. Frogs are also known for bringing Good Luck. 🐸😉
Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to read another Tuesday Tidbits! Happy Tuesday, Jenna!

  3. That’s very funny about your purse! Hopefully everything was still in it! What a grand time you have had — it sounds delightful. It’s such fun to tour around with dear friends. And I love your study with it’s personal treasures. I hope we get to see more of the “new” (redone) house! Happy week!

    1. Thank you Jeanie! I am so glad you enjoyed this post. The purse was in such bad shape. No one will want it except a Pack Rat. 🤣😂
Thanks for reading! Happy Trails to you and Happy Tuesday!

  4. Great photos. That’s good you got you April projects completed since you are about to see a morning in May.

  5. Glad the remodel turned out well. A refresh always feels good. That was certainly an enjoyable day at the botanical garden. We’ll need to do that again.🙂

      1. Yes, I’ve been wanting to go to the Japanese Garden. I hear it’s small but still very pretty. Let’s put it on our fall list. 🙂

  6. Wow…I’m gonna slow down and enjoy a second, more leisurely look at all of your photos later! They are spectacular…and I love the history…the old schoolhouse? Sigh. Such good stuff, Nancy. Thank you for taking us along. 🥰

    1. I am so glad you enjoyed. When you get a chance look at the teacher’s contract. I don’t think I would have become a teacher if I had to sign that contract. Happy Tuesday, Victoria!

  7. Nancy, what a lovely post. I enjoyed the tour of AZ. I haven’t been to any of those cool towns, but you give me lots of ideas. I need to have my husband to read all your posts to give him ideas. Your pictures all came out so beautifully. You are quite a lens artist, too! 🙂

  8. Busy woman indeed, Nancy! Glad your home is finished the way you like it…it is gorgeous! Nice to donate things we can’t use any longer. I’m not sure how you had time to visit all those places while the project was going on, unless they kicked you out each day 🤣 So glad you all got to visit the Botanical Gardens as a group. What a beautiful set of pics! Have a great week!

    1. I left almost every day while they were working! Or I was off to donate items. lol!
Thanks for the visit Terri! Happy Trails to you!

  9. Nancy thank you for the tour of your visits the last few weeks. And I am getting rid of many things in my home. I believe I could be called a packrat as it is so hard toss or give away my “treasures”… It was far easier to toss stacks of paperwork even though the thought crossed my mind that there might have been something valuable in the stack. But I knew if I examined each one I would be in my office for days. …and the Captain reminded me that everything is on line these days. Your garden if beautiful an yes, I must say I REALLY miss New Mexico. Blessings dear friend.

    1. How sweet of you Kari. I too tossed lots of files! I still had healthcare invoices for my Mom and she passed away 7 years ago!!
Thanks for enjoying the flowers and such.
      Happy Tuesday!

  10. Reading about you tossing old files should inspire me to get started on going through my old stuff! I’m not promising anything! Glad you had some fun adventures after all that work. I love those old towns. Your flowers are gorgeous as always! Happy May!

  11. I love to tour old school houses, but I wouldn’t enjoy living under those rules. Just imagine–an unmarried woman hanging out in an ice cream parlor! How decadent! 😂 Your adventures look so fun! Friends make it even more so. May I take the burrito home? He is SO cute!

    1. He was adorable and loved us being there.
I’m glad you saw the contract! I would have become a teacher if I had to sign that contract!
Thanks for following along! Happy Tuesday!

  12. Miss Nancy, I love those tiled floors 🥰 and can imagine how easy they are to keep clean. It will be some time yet before I trade in my carpet, but tiling rather than re-carpeting is 100% the plan. Love all the photos and agree, the Poppies look wonderful. Happiest of Tuesdays to you and your Sweet Man.

  13. I am just starting what you went through with the floor. I will have my kitchen gutted and new floors in the kitchen, living room and hall started soon. Imagine that, a food blogger with no kitchen. 😩 Anyhow, your flowers are amazing as are your other pictures. I always love your posts Nancy!

  14. I have enjoyed your travel adventures; the world is filled with artful and intriguing places to visit!! Nice floors and I’m sure they make cleaning a breeze!

  15. The room looks amazing! Such a great feeling to have a completed project, right?? Our “project” is nearly done too. Yipee!! What fun to have a blogger-meet-up! Soooo jelly, giggles. But seriously, what FUN! Looking forward to seeing you soon, too.

  16. oh!! Busy April and I loved your final photos from AZ. Such a beautiful day at the garden and your lens makes all the photos even more beautiful. Tuscan stunning and Gleeson looks like a good detour when we are in that neck of the woods.

    1. There are lots and lots of ghost towns and old mines to explore. Hope you get to do so sometime soon!
Thank you for the visit my friend! I will be watching for all your adventures.
      Enjoy your summer with family!

Thank You So Much... for sharing your kind words. I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy schedule to share your thoughts.
