Tuesday Tidbits #243 I’m All In!

Hi Folks!

I have decided to accept the Autumn season. You all know how much we enjoy summer and our lake life here in Pennsylvania. I appreciate what Autumn brings: fall colors, cozy sweaters, and pumpkin beer. (You thought I would say Pumpkin Spice lattes, right?) 😃 The shorter days and cooler evenings mean campfires and smores! The smell of wood burning and watching the fire dance makes me smile.

We love a backyard fire!

Along with shorter days, this old gal can now go outside and watch a sunset because I am still awake!

Sunsets never get old!

I am lighting candles again and adding twinkling lights to fall garland on the mantle. You read that correctly. I have decorated the lakehouse with Fall Decor and purchased Mums for the outdoors. My moaning about Summer ending has ceased! I have jumped right in and I am knee-deep in Pumpkins! I’m all in! 😄

This is our dining room table centerpiece. I am happy to display the pumpkin tea cup! Our soon-to-be daughter-in-luv gifted it to me.
Our autumn cottage mantle.
It’s all cozy! My Mother’s chair sits by the fireplace my father built. Sweet Man’s deer sits above the mantle.
Our small cottage style kitchen did not escape fall touches! I added fall tea towels along with the fall table runner. Our table has been here since I was a little girl. The Italian Rooster pitchers love overlooking the kitchen. My late brother’s sketches of my parents still hang on the wall.
This was my Mother’s kitchen. There have been plenty of delicious meals cooked here!

Outdoor Decorations

We are enjoying our new outdoor Mums!
My Potting Bench did not escape from being decorated!

I lied about Pumpkin Spice Lattes… 😄

Even though I drink tea!
🍁🍂🧡🍂🍁
I painted the curvy witch last fall! It enjoys being displayed on the back patio!

Nature’s Way

Nature is also showing us that Fall is here.

The soybean fields are turning gold.
Some color is showing up on the lake.
Our favorite squash is at the Farmer’s Markets!

I pay attention to what God puts in front of me. Fall is here!

Lake Erie

Even though Fall has arrived we enjoyed a day at Lake Erie! It’s about 20 minutes north of us. It is such a delight to be so close to one of the Great Lakes!

It was quiet and still. It looked like the Caribbean!

I believe that’s all I have for you this week. My sister came in for an overnight, and we had lots of fun. Then, I had a lovely visit with a beautiful friend, my son’s soon-to-be mother-in-law. She and I have become quite close, and I enjoyed showing her all around our quaint little lake community here in Pennsylvania. I am a bit behind in reading some of your posts and hope to catch up this week with all of you!

Thank You!

As I always try to convey… we certainly appreciate all of you. Thank you for joining us for another Tuesday Tidbits.

We wish all of you a wonderful week ahead. Enjoy what this upcoming week brings to you. And whatever you have planned… make every day count and be thankful for your Blessings.

  1. I don’t know what I loved more…your beautiful photos (thank you again for the Tuesday delights) or the mention of “pumpkin beer” and the go-ahead to light those candles! It’s getting dark here in the early evening and the cool air is a welcome change. Feels like candle time to me! And pumpkin beer? Hmm…sounds interesting! xo! 🥰

    1. Oh yes! Pumpkin Beers are starting to pop up in all our restaurants! Tasty, tasty!
Thanks for enjoying and following along! 🧡
      Enjoy your Tuesday!

  2. That’s a stunner sunset! I love your autumn garland — it’s a perfect room for that too, with the pine walls. (Reminds me of my cottage with the walls!). When you have a nice spot like that, you don’t need a lot to really get the feel of the season. And I really love your table runner. That’s one I’ve never seen! You’re into the season and I love it. Thanks for popping over this morning, too!

  3. You’re the decorating queen as far as I’m concerned, Nancy! The distinct seasonal changes give more scope for different decorations than here, that’s for sure. The pumpkin spice season is not for me. I like pumpkin spice in pies and a few other things but not on everything on the entire world! 😉. I’m the Pumpkin Spice Grinch. Thanks for sharing the beauty of fall.

  4. You have been decorating up a storm Nancy! Looks so pretty! Fall colors and temps haven’t arrived in the South yet, but we are hopeful! That is great that you are friend’s with your soon to be mother in law, I am really close to my daughter’s m MIL and it’s such a special bond 🙂

  5. Now I’m in the mood to drag out some fall decor! And fun video of Lake Erie! A few years back we circumnavigated Lake Ontario and I thought it would be fun to eventually travel around all of the great lakes. That’s on my bucket list. Happy Fall!

  6. I LOVE your autumn decor, Nancy! You have amazing taste and left no corner untouched with orange and gold and all things pumpkins! When we return from our travel, I will add my pumpkins to the decor mix I’ve already started. Glad you are enjoying earlier sunsets–you have a beautiful set of images to show how autumn should look like there! Sorry to miss you at the blog meetup– but we may be back in AZ this winter!

  7. I agree with Janet. You are indeed the decorating queen. I love how you embrace the seasons with your decor. You do such a beautiful job. Having grown up in the Midwest, I’m a huge fan of the Great Lakes and have really missed my summer excursions to Lake Superior.

    1. Having Lake Erie so close, we sometimes forget we must see it in all its glory.
I thank you for enjoying all my decorations. The dollar tree was a big help these past few years!
      Enjoy your Tuesday!

    1. I’m wrapped in a throw as we speak. But yesterday it was HOT!
However, I am now looking forward to the Cool Autumn nights!
      It’s a special time!
Thank you so much for your love!

  8. As always a great post!! We are seeing leaves changing here in the Pacific Northwest and it brings that fall feel front and center!! Love it!!

  9. Beautiful decorating and photos as always Nancy! I love your witch painting, you are so talented. Fall is my favorite season. It won’t be long before all the trees pop with color. Your squash looks delicious Nancy!

  10. I just love all your fall decor…it looks so welcoming. Gosh I didn’t realize how big lake Erie is…my aunts and an uncle live on lake erie (one on Kelley’s island and the others in Marblehead, Ohio, which is where you catch the ferry to the island).

    1. Lake Erie is pretty significant. It spans Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, and Canada.
Thank you for enjoying our fall decor. It makes everything feel so cozy.
Enjoy your week, and thanks for stopping by.

  11. Weird things have been happening here, Nancy. I’ve not been receiving notifications from WordPress (😡) I think I fixed that this morning, but now I have other issues to address. I hope to be back to normal soon because I always look forward to your posts, and always appreciate all the love you pour into them. Pumpkin Spiced Latte – yum!

Thank You So Much... for sharing your kind words. I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy schedule to share your thoughts.
