Hello Friends!

First, I want to thank everyone for the lovely birthday wishes and for checking in to see how I was feeling. I am feeling better, although not quite 100% yet. That cold really knocked me for a loop last week!
How was your Halloween?
We didn’t have any little ones come to our house this year. There were so many planned activities around town that going house to house on our street didn’t seem to be a priority. But I had to volunteer at the Antique Mall on Halloween so I dressed up as a Cowgirl.

Ohio Visit
I did manage to get away for a visit with a friend in Ohio. She and her husband have a new home, and I was anxious to see it. Their home is lovely, and the backyard view is gorgeous. They even had irises blooming! I’ve heard from several people who are seeing irises and even lilacs blooming. Apparently, this warm weather has Mother Nature thinking it’s spring!

Both images above and below are looking out to their front yard.

“Life was meant for good friends, good laughs, and great memories.”
Medina, Ohio
My friend and I headed to Medina, Ohio, to shop and browse. We stopped at a nursery transitioning from fall to Christmas. They had a greenhouse filled with the most unusual poinsettias. It was spectacular!

The nursery was beautiful! I have to share their fall to Christmas photos.

We also enjoyed two lunches out together. We met on the first day at The Tavern of Richfield. The second day, we went to a restaurant at Medina Square which was decorated like a pumpkin patch. It was called The Hideaway.

I also spent a night with my kids and grandson. We had so much fun visiting a playground and then taking a drive through their neighborhood to see all the Halloween decorations. So many homes were decked out with lights and all sorts of spooky displays. It was fabulous! After we got the little one tucked into bed, I could hardly keep my eyes open. I headed to bed, too. All that fun finally caught up with me!

“Good times, laughter, and a whole lot of love. That’s family!”
Back at Home
The gardens have officially been put to bed for winter. I cut back my Limelight and Strawberry Vanilla hydrangeas, as I do every year. I leave my other hydrangeas alone.
I did pick some hydrangeas to dry. Here is one bunch.

Believe it or not, a few flowers are still showing off. Our butterfly bush, roses, and morning primrose are still blooming. And my lilacs are putting out new growth on their stems. I have no idea what will happen to them over the winter. This unusually warm fall certainly has things confused!

Speaking of weather, it continues to be fabulous. Coats and jackets haven’t made their appearance yet. It is wonderful! Most of the trees have lost their leaves, although there are a stubborn few who just can’t seem to let go!

Shopping Local
I also attended a Christmas open house at a darling local shop called The Cottage Rose.
While shopping I enjoyed a wonderful cup of spiced apple cider with a little rum added. It was the best I’ve ever had! I picked up a few gifts and a cute little vintage ceramic Christmas tree. Naturally, I had to find a spot for it in the living room. Christmas is sneaking in!

Speaking of Christmas
I’ve also been volunteering at the Antique Mall where we have our antique booth. This week, I’ll be transforming our booth into a vintage Christmas wonderland. It’s time to bring out all those Christmas treasures! I’m all for embracing whatever seasonal joy makes you happy.

Thanks For Stopping By!
As you can see, it’s been a busy week. I’m still nursing this lingering cold, but thankfully, nothing like what I had last week. I am slowly trying to get caught up with all of you. Thank you for your patience.

I had a fun week. A little friend fun, some shopping, lots of family fun, and a peek at some Christmas. I especially loved those poinsettias!

So glad to hear you’re feeling better. ❤️
What wonderful photos this week, Nancy Lou! You have an eye, you sure do! And you make the loveliest cowgirl! Big hugs! ❤️
Thank you Vicki Lou! 🥰
Xo! 😘
Glad you’re feeling better and enjoying the ‘seasons.’ Time with family is always special but more so with a grandson. Enjoy.
Well said, Judy! Grandson time is the best!
Happy November!
I’m glad you had a happy birthday but sad you were sick! Something is going around everywhere! Your neighbors’ home looks amazing. Hans was looking at homes in Payson again (eyeroll), but if we found the right property, it wouldn’t be out of the question. Love all your flowers, and even the EARLY Christmas decor! Enjoy the weird, warm weather, maybe you’ll time it just right that you won’t have to wear a coat all winter 😉
Thank you Terri! I like that idea about not wearing a coat this winter. Lol!
Thanks for all the love. Happy November!
What a nice tour of pumpkins AND Christmas. Our weather here in Florida is usually pretty consistent but we have had cooler mornings but warming up to mid 80’s during the day. So glad you are feeling better…I find as I get older, it is just a little harder to get well from colds, etc. It eventually happens but it takes longer. Of course, it might have to do with the fact that I don’t have an immune system anymore…(since cancer) but I am thinking it is more related to age. LOL. Have a wonderful November…your cowgirl outfit is so cute. Hugs and Blessings🍁🥰🍂🦃
Thank you Kari for all your sweet comments. Happy November!
What a beautiful mix of seasons! From your amazing cowgirl look to enjoying nature and celebrating your friends’ new home, this looks like the perfect autumn memory. Love that you’re already spotting the early holiday vibes with the poinsettias too – it truly is the most wonderful time of the year!
It really is the most wonderful time of the year! Thank you always for your sweet comments! Happy November!
Hi Nancy, so happy to read that you are feeling better. You had a fun-filled and exciting week with your friend, darling grandson, and all the activities going on in Edinboro. Did I miss that you had an antique booth, or is that a recent venture? The colors at your friend’s home were amazing.
Wishing you a wonderful week, my friend!
We have had the antique booth for two years but I may not have mentioned it before.
It was a lovely week. Thank you for all the love! Happy November!
What a wonderful week! Oh my goodness…the purple blooming Iris by the orange pumpkin was stunning! Thank you for sharing all the joy out there❣️
Thank you Sue! I am still in awe over those irises blooming! Enjoy your new week and Happy November!
Nancy, I’m so glad you are feeling better and were able to get out and have some fun. Visiting with friends and grandchildren are the best medicine! Happy November!
You are so right! The best medicine!
Happy November!
So many fun places to visit! I would love to tag along to see the Christmas decor at the nursery as well as The Hideaway. Visiting with your family was surely a highlight of your week. I’m glad you are feeling better. That cold really hung on!
Thank you. Everyday I am a bit better. As I age it takes longer to get better, I think. Lol!
Thanks for all the love. Happy November!
I just love seeing the autumn leaf colors. Happy to read that you’re feeling better and belated birthday wishes. I love Christmas and am doing some planning for when our company is here, but it’s too early for me to want to see Christmas decorations. I want to enjoy Thanksgiving first!
I love Thanksgiving and enjoy twinkling lights all year long.
Thank you for the birthday wishes. Happy November.
