We dock… and it’s cold, it’s rainy and it’s GLOOMY!
Not to worry…
I’ve come prepared!
Hood on raincoat
A Good Attitude
Let’s Do This!
Port of Liverpool Building
Took me forever to get the English Flag to fly appropriately for the photo!
First Double Decker I Saw!
The Royal Liver Building Clock Tower
The Liver Bird. On top of many buildings. Liverpool’s Symbol. Also in the city’s Coat of Arms. That’s all I know about the Liver Bird. If you want to know more click here.
Lot’s of Different Architecture! That church had the most beautiful Church Bells that rang at 5:00 p.m.
Found this building to be ultra-cool.
A mix of old and new and their version of a Gondola?
Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral in background.
Love Locks down at Albert Dock. These are starting to pop up in many cities around the world.
We did not have a pad lock or we would have done it.
Then off we went to experience The Beatles Influence…
The Pub Entrance to where it all began!
A tribute to them…
At a museum, I saw the stage where Paul and John met for the first time and they performed together on this stage.
This is THE STAGE!!
And here is the piano where Paul wrote the song Imagine…
One of his orange colored wire rimmed glasses is sitting on top of the piano.
We were quite pleased to be able to tour this museum. It is quite close to Albert Dock.
We worked up an appetite and pub fare was had!
Fish and Chips and Scotch Eggs.
And of course some…
The Guinness in England has a slightly sweeter taste then what we have in America. 🙂
Back to the ship we went…
See the ferry to the left… has a Beatles vibe to it!
Liverpool was great… next stop Hamburg, Germany! But first, how about a song from The Beatles… Penny Lane! It is a street in Liverpool!
