A tribute to them…

At a museum, I saw the stage where Paul and John met for the first time and they performed together on this stage.

This is THE STAGE!!

And here is the piano where Paul wrote the song Imagine…

One of his orange colored wire rimmed glasses is sitting on top of the piano.

We worked up an appetite and pub fare was had!

The Guinness in England has a slightly sweeter taste then what we have in America.  🙂

  1. Went to publish this post and it published one to two hours ago?? That’s weird! I am definitely having problems with WordPress. May need to have a live chat with them. But hey… it at least published!

    1. THANK YOU!!! My post is published!
THANK YOU for stopping by and posting a comment. I really am having problems with WordPress publishing my posts.
And we did have a fabulous trip. Can’t wait to post more about it.

  2. Sounds like you had a marvelous outing. Love the old and the new architecture. We were at one bridge when we traveled last year and they were having to take the locks off because they had become so heavy. I’d say more but I’m thirsty and starving after looking at your beverages and food. 🙂 Party on.

    1. Yes it did! We missed Holyhead Whales because of horrible weather and wind. It is a tender port so the port canceled picking us up… so we went on.

  3. It looks like you didn’t let the weather get in your way Nancy! I would have loved to have toured the Beatles memorabilia with you. I’m not so fond of Guinness but i likely could be persuaded. 🙂

    1. I am not a big fan of Guiness as well. But in England it tastes different!
And nope… the weather did not discourage us!
Happy Friday to you sweet Sue!

  4. Great fun. I was 7 years old when I went there. My family is from Preston, not too far away. My mom saw the Beatles at that club all those years ago.

  5. Looks like an amazing visit in spite of the weather. Love the Beatles and that had to be fun to see. Thanks for the added treat of Beatle’s music! Looking forward to seeing more of your trip.

  6. Liverpool looks like an interesting place to visit despite the weather. Who wouldn’t feel a bit of a thrill seeing the stage where John and Paul first met? I hope Hamburg is fun too. 🙂

    1. It was a thrill to see that stage… and Hamburg was fabulous. Thank you for taking the time to stop by. I truly appreciate it! Hope you can come back and see Hamburg. 🙂

      1. It’ll be nice to find out about it. I’ve never been to Hamburg, but I know it played a big part in the Beatles’ story too. 🙂

      2. They played in Hamburg often… and it was a few Germans who told them to have “mop top” hair! (Their trademark when they came to America.)

  7. This collection of pictures of Liverpool are delightful – so sorry about our ‘lovely’ weather – we generally only have two days of summer here ! 😉

    1. Our stay in England was magnificent. We brought fabulous 80 degree temps to London. I will be posting those pictures later. I sure hope the 80 degree temps came to you as well. I am enjoying your blog posts! 🙂

  8. I adore this post. The variety of architecture and buildings sharing space shows up as a collage of time and the commitment to structures being beautiful and creative.
And as always any detail of the Beatles is enjoyed.
    Thank you. 📮

  9. I’m so enjoying your travels Nancy!! And having a positive attitude helps in any situation doesn’t it? 🙂 I love seeing the beautiful Caribbean Princess too! 🙂

  10. I’ve never been there – yet. The “Reds”, btw, are my favourite English soccer teeam, and their German coach, Juergen Klopp, is my all-time favourite coach. One of my dreams would be to experience the famous “Anfield roar” – that immense noise the Liverpool fans make during the matches – in person.
