Tuesday Tidbits #244 The Little Things in Life

“Enjoy the Little Things in Life Because One Day You’ll Look Back and Realize they were the Big Things!” ~Robert Brault

A lovely Zinnia from our gardens.

That’s what we are doing… enjoying the little things in life! We are surrounding ourselves with our gorgeous weather here in Northwest Pennsylvania! It’s been perfect!

A walk in the early morning with a friend down at the lake was magical. The clouds were low, and the fog on the lake made a pretty picture!

Magical!

On the way to the mailbox, I enjoy the sweet fragrance of my neighbor’s roses. I definitely stop and smell the roses!

Mr. Lincoln rose.

Miranda Lambert Rose.

And look at these hydrangeas!

Strawberry Vanilla in the Forefront and Limelight in the background. Are you able to see the rain falling in the background?

A Country Ride

We took a country ride and stopped at an antique store. I could not pass up taking a photo of this mural with the community garden sunflowers.

Such a lovely addition to their downtown.

Along the way, we noticed hay bales ready to go to the barn for winter storage.

Ready for storage.
The corn is about done! We have enjoyed plenty of the harvest!
The pumpkins are ready!
We have not seen much color yet on the trees but some have decided to share their beauty on the ground.

Thank You!

That’s all I have for you this week. I hope you are embracing the seasonal changes and enjoying the simple pleasures that fall brings. The Autumn Equinox is this Saturday, September 23rd.

As for us, we have been preparing for the wedding! My son and his fiance are getting married real soon! Excitement is in the air!

As I always try to convey… we certainly appreciate all of you. Thank you for joining us for another Tuesday Tidbits.

💛

We wish all of you a wonderful week ahead. Enjoy what this upcoming week brings to you. And whatever you have planned… make every day count and be thankful for your Blessings.

  1. Thank you for sharing your lovely photos Nancy… and you are so right…we all must stop and smell the roses. I know I try to take the time to enjoy all the beauty around me each and every day. I used to have a Mr. Lincoln rose plant and loved the deep red of that one’s bloom. So fragrant too. The fog/mist on the lake must have been breath taking. What a lovely surprise at your destination walk. I really enjoyed your zinnia photo. I just planted more down here in Florida…we have a growing season 24-7 and 365 days of the year so have no restrictions on seasonal plantings. However, the sun can do lots of damage if I am not careful with watering. Enjoy your time up North…I know you will be returning to your home down South soon. The bales of hay remind me of the Midwest where I grew up…I can actually smell the hay if I close my eyes. Have a great Autumnal week.

  2. Happy Tuesday to you, Miss Nancy. I love, love, love all those gorgeous flowers (Mr Lincoln was my mother’s favourite rose) and I just love Robert Brault’s quote and use it often.

  3. Love your foggy lake morning photo, and of course, all your floral images. Your photos certainly give us a glimpse letting us know fall is on its way. It’s still hot here but I’m finally seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. Pumpkin spice coffee in my future? 😁

  4. It looks like a gorgeous week for you two, Nance! My dear wife Karen and I were discussing how we need to add a nice hydrangea to our backyard after seeing how wonderful they all came up in our area this year!
Enjoy the excitement leading up to your son’s wedding. Another fantastic life milestone to be cherished!

  5. Not only are you pausing to enjoy the little things, but you excel at capturing them with your camera. You will be able to enjoy them through your photographs for years to come. I think the hay is a great example. What a common ordinary thing, but you framed it so well that it became art!

  6. Your flowers are so beautiful, Nancy. I love the foggy lake. The look sure changes fast. Summer has gone by in a flash, hasn’t it? We’re looking forward to your return to the West! We are meeting tomorrow and I always look forward to getting together with everyone. Thanks for linking me to your post, my friend. I love your quote and I agree 100%.

  7. Nancy, you have shared so many beautiful photos and lovely words. Enjoy every moment of your week, sweet friend!

Thank You So Much... for sharing your kind words. I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy schedule to share your thoughts.
