Tuesday Tidbits #267 A P R I L

I Blinked, and March was Gone!

Was it that way for you as well? Happy Tuesday. I’m happy that you are here.

He Lives!

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter. Ours was quiet but we enjoyed a delicious home-cooked meal and relaxed most of the day. We missed our family but our time with them is coming very soon.

Spring Fever

Lady Banks against our Arizona Blue Sky.

Upon reviewing my March journal and photo library, there was a prevalence of florals and pastel colors in my entries. I do believe I had Spring Fever. I think the weather had something to do with it, as well as my love for Spring in the desert. I delight in seeing the dull winter landscape transform into a colorful, floral one. With each new bloom that unfolds, I feel the excitement overcome me. When I go for a walk, I think there is an extra skip in my step due to the refreshing air, brilliant sun shining overhead, beautiful cactus blooms, and birds singing. April in the desert is my favorite time of the year.

Happy April

Speaking of April. Did anyone pull an April Fool’s Day prank on you yesterday? My brother often pulled pranks on me when I was growing up. When I grew older and lived in another state I can remember him calling me on the telephone and pranking me. I was never amused, especially since he would get me every single year! Do you get upset when someone pranks you?

Prescott, AZ

Last week, we visited Prescott, AZ, which is at a higher elevation than us here in the valley. Spring had Sprung, and it was lovely to see the flowering trees blooming among the pines. Along with the Ponderosa pines, I got to see Daffodils.

We always enjoy seeing the Ponderosa Pines. Their scent is heavenly.

We also visited the Prescott Bead Museum. It was filled with fascinating artifacts. I highly recommend a visit to this place.

Our evening in Prescott came to an end with a beautiful full moon.

Goodbye March

So long, March, and hello, April. April, please bring us fun adventures along with getting some needed projects done.

    1. Brrr… say it isn’t so Judy! Almost a foot??
I’m glad I could give you some flower therapy.
      Stay warm my friend.

  1. I never think of AZ as having so much color so I’m always grateful when you show me the bright yellows and hot pinks of the desert environment. I can see why you have spring fever. I do too! Happy week!

  2. I love April Nancy and I especially love your photos which of course take me back to my beloved New Mexico which has been on my mind a lot lately. Have a wonderful week as the blooms burst forth from the desert floor. Hugs

  3. Nancy, your photos are stunning! I love seeing beautiful blooms in your desert area. The globe chamomile’s color is brilliant! Happy April to you, no jokes were played on me yesterday!

    1. Yes, to no jokes!
I am always glad you come to visit me. Thank you for your sweet comments! Happy April to you, dear friend!

  5. Thank you for the beautiful post, Nancy! We are probably a few weeks away from any blooms here in the Midwest…but we’re getting closer. Until then, your weekly posts bring all the cheer. xo! 🥰

  6. What a lovely collection of images showing our desert at her finest. Like you, March did seem to whiz by. It won’t be long, and I’ll be complaining of the heat. 😁 Until then, we have April to enjoy and adventure.

  7. Happy Tuesday to you Miss Nancy (and to your Sweet Man) 🥰 I feel like I blinked and the year’s first quarter just disappeared. Your photos are gorgeous as usual, and the Saguaro wooden skeleton had me intrigued. I never thought about what happened to them when their time was up🌵they certainly do look better alive and blooming for sure.

    1. Yes they are wooden inside and when alive become heavy with water when it rains.
Thank you dear friend! I am so happy you enjoyed the photos.
      Happy April!

  8. What a beautiful March you experienced, Nancy! All those flowers blooming everywhere! Arizona sure got another floral spring. No such luck just yet in our neck of the woods, but tree blossoms are sprouting and we are surrounded with those heavenly Ponderosas. Hope you had a happy Easter and enjoy your week!

  9. Gorgeous photos, Nancy. Are quite a few from your yard? March did skip past quickly. Thankfully no one played any pranks on me April 1st. That globe camomile is also called stinknet is highly invasive in California and Arizona and although lovely to look at, it’s very difficult to get rid of, spreads easily, and is a danger for fires. 😢. Glad you had a blessed Easter and will see your family soon. I’m headed to California Friday for a weekend trip. 😉. Will I see you on the 15th?

    1. Thank you, Janet! Yes, some of the flowers are from our yard. And others from my walks in the neighborhood.
I can’t stand the awful stinknet as it is so invasive and because it does become a fire hazard. But the little flowers are quite cute to photograph.
I will be there in the 15th. Looking forward to seeing you and all the others. We are going to have so much fun!
      Happy April my friend!

  10. I just made a long comment on your post, but don’t see it. That happened the last time I commented too. Do you have to approve all comments? If not, I’ll have to try commenting on the Reader.

    1. I do have to approve all the comments. So I did see your last comment. But it sure was nice hearing from you twice! 🥰

  11. What gorgeous pictures, Nancy. You have a great eye, and the weather is very cooperative right now. I’m glad you enjoyed Prescott. Next time call us if you have time. We’d love to get together! I’ve never heard of the Bead Museum, and we are near there almost every day! I guess I have to walk on the other side of the street instead of around the Courthouse! LOL Thanks for opening my eyes! Have a great week. See you soon!

  12. Lovely read, wonderful post and gorgeous photos. The one cactus on the ground looks like an oversized caterpillar. What a great walk, and a nice visit to Prescott.

Thank You So Much... for sharing your kind words. I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy schedule to share your thoughts.
