Hello and Welcome In!
How are you doing?
We are living during a crazy time in history, aren’t we? I sure hope that you are staying well and safe. Are you taking time for YOU, now? Since we do have lots of time… why not make time for US! Time to stop and smell the roses… literally! I know it’s harder for some then others… but I hope you can try.
We have been enjoying our backyard gardens a little bit longer while enjoying our coffee or evening cocktail.
Our backyard creature visits have been fun to watch!
The heat is warming up to triple digits! 😳 Therefore we head out for our bike rides early!
Sweet man leads our rides. Please remember our flat areas around here tend to incline… lol! In all fairness to us, actually me, we are in the foothills of the Bradshaw Mountains so our rides can get a bit exhilarating! Lol!
But the sights along the way are fabulous!
And if you follow me… you know we go on adventures. Last week we went on an adventure to higher elevation! We enjoyed getting out of the triple digits in temps. It was not only cooler but the vegetation was different as well.
Another fun happening was that I got to go for a Ride- Along with sweet man as he golfed. What a beautiful golf course! I felt like I was in Tuscany!
And he had a great golf day!
In the coolness of air conditioning… I do help the economy with some retail therapy online. I added to my purple tea setting. I have started collecting Limoges and small trinket boxes. Do you see the small teapot and watering can… they are Limoges. And so is the small one in front of the watering can.
You can say we have kept busy… but it’s nice to come home and stay at home.

They do bloom! And it’s why I enjoy the month of May. The blooms are actually hard and feel like plastic.

Nancy, your garden is stunning…the yellow rose is exquisite. Bike rides are healthy and fun, and since you have a good leader I think you are getting a great work-out. I can imagine the cooler temps in the mountains was wonderful, triple digits wow. Our temps have warmed into the 80’s and it won’t be long until we climb to the 90’s with high humidity. The saguaros’ blooms are so amazing. The Limoges boxes are fabulous and your felt heart is so lovely. I enjoyed my visit with you this morning my friend. Wishing you a most delightful Tuesday!

Great adventures and scenery, Nance. Golfing! That looks like a beautiful course for sure. I have yet to venture out to play on our side. I will feel safe enough soon, I hope. The courses are open and ready for safe distancing play.
Yes… they sanitize the carts but then I sanitize them even more. Plus it was just us and the golf course. No one in front and no one behind.

Good morning Nancy. I enjoy your Tuesday tidbits so much! I love seeing your beautiful gardens and your tea sets! And I enjoy your outdoor adventures in the desert. Somehow I feel like I’ve been busy during the pandemic but most of the time I am outside enjoying the garden or going for a walk on the beach or in my neighborhood. I haven’t finished any of the indoor projects I started!
Isn’t that the truth… we start inside projects but want to be outside where it’s lovely! I call them our Gratitude Gardens!
Glad you have kept busy at what you love doing… that’s what is important!

We love our saguaros. That saguaro is most likely 100+ years old. And they are protected. May is a special month because that’s when they bloom!

Well we are far from having roses to smell but at least the leaves have arrived. Getting out on our bikes has been wonderful. The pace of life is far slower and we are getting tasks that were long put off completed. Always a positive side one needs to focus on.
Positivity is what gets us through! Biking is a lovely addition to our activities!
I haven’t had much me time for now, but I will have 7 weeks off this summer. It is going to be glorious 🙂 Thank you for the beautiful rose, and magical views 🙂
