Tuesday Tidbits #77

Welcome In!

The other day instead of my afternoon tea I decided to make some…

French Press Coffee

I gathered all the ingredients.

I placed my coffee into the French Press.

I’d say about 2 T of Coffee.

Then add just enough hot water (about a 1/4 cup, that’s a temperature of about 210 degrees) to let your coffee bloom. It will foam just a bit.

After about 30 seconds or so… add the rest of your hot water.

Stir so all your coffee grounds are mixed.

Now comes the fun part. Place the lid on and slowly press down.

It’s Coffee Time! Enjoy!

Do you make French Press Coffee? I’d love to know.

  1. Nancy, thank you for that rich and bold cup of coffee and for a view into your beautiful garden! Yes, I do love my French press and use it quite often.

Wishing you a most delightful day my friend!

    1. Oh I’m so glad you enjoyed the garden. And equally glad you get to enjoy French Press Coffee often! Happy week to you my fine lady!

    1. It’s more bold in flavor but the texture is very much the same. I can compare it to nespresso or Keurig makers as there isn’t a paper filter used. Hope you can try one day Mr. Mark!

    1. Yes I love a pot of coffee brewed in the morning. It’s what I love in the morning. But sometimes in the early afternoon… this or my espresso machine comes out. Thanks for stopping by. And have a great week my friend.

  2. I like French press coffee, but I do cowboy coffee poured through a gold filter at home. We rented an apartment in Paris in 2013. I bought Italian roast ground to a powder and French pressed it. It was so unbelievably good.

    1. Oh I bet that was delish! One day I want to make Cowboy coffee out on the range. Lol! I have never made Cowboy Coffee and would like to give it a try. Happy Week to you my sir!

      1. The way I make cowboy coffee is super easy. Poor boiling water onto the finely ground coffee, let it steep for a few minutes and then pour the coffee through a filter into another pot. I use a gold filter so there is no filter taste in the coffee. I believe true cowboy coffee you let the ground settle to the bottom of the pot and pour the coffee off the top. I’m nowhere near an authentic cowboy.

      2. I need to try your way as well. Many friends and relatives do it exactly that way.

Now I want to try it at a campfire with a tin coffee pot. Just like John Wayne did. 🤠

  3. Nancy, I have never made french press coffee, but it looks delicious especially with a sweet treat! Happy Tuesday, dear friend!

  4. Lovely teacups and lovely coffee cups. There is no end to the gorgeous crockery you own Nancy 💜 and I’ve no doubt that coffee smells amazing. I drink either but prefer coffee. Sadly though I’m not a connoisseur of the roasted bean and (please forgive me) have an instant brand at home 🤭. I do, however, love sitting in a cafe – when I’m allowed – and enjoying a freshly brewed coffee someone else has made ☕️. Thinking of you as I sit here enjoying my morning coffee.

    1. There’s just something about coffee when it’s made well and made by someone else. So a cafe coffee is scrumptious!
Thank you for the lovely words! 😊

  5. If there is a support group for people who look forward to a ‘good’ cup of coffee, I volunteer to be on the board with you. 🙂 I have made French Press numerous times, but it’s been a while. I have a Capresso grind/brew machine and enjoy Peet’s coffee twice a day. When other people are hoarding all types of food items, the #1 thing I want to make sure we don’t run out of is coffee, creamer and raw sugar. 🙂

    1. Same here. We make sure we have our coffee! You can be President of our support group for a good cup of coffee. I’ll be Vice President. 🤣

  6. What a delicious find in my feed! I had french press coffee once for a special occasion and I’m wondering why I don’t enjoy it more often. You’ve inspired me to try it again. Beautiful pictures! Take good care Nancy!

    1. Sandra… it is always so nice to hear from you. I enjoyed this coffee so much that today I am going to look for a bolder coffee when I run to the store.
If you make yourself some please let me know.
      Enjoy your day my friend!

Thanks So Much For The Visit. I would love to hear from you...
