Tuesday Tidbits #255 2024 is Here!

Hello, 2024!

Hello Friends!

Thanks so much for being here!

Have you been busy taking Christmas down? I have been. As I write this, I can say I have it all put away, and the winter decor is out. I am now relaxing by the fire. It’s cold here this week! It’s 26 degrees on the patio but it will warm up to 50 hopefully today.

Our winter coffee table. Showcasing wooden bowls made by a friend and one brought back from our recent trip to Costa Rica. I incorporated some of our crystals and petrified wood as well.
Beautiful crystals!

Our Winter Family Room.

Goodbye 2023

Our 2023 was incredible, and we had an excellent finish to our 2023. A lovely visit with Family in Sammamish, Washington, was enjoyed. While there, we headed into Seattle and visited the Seattle Art Museum, Pike Place Market, the America’s Car Museum and went to a Seahawks/Steelers game. Our visit was packed with fun! It’s also why I did not write a post last week.

Exciting News!

It’s always great to see our family. Speaking of family… I now can share with you that I am going to be a Grandma! My oldest son and beautiful daughter-in-law are expecting a baby in July! We are very excited!

On Christmas Eve when I opened up a gift from my son and daughter-in-law I saw this wooden spoon that said Grandma’s Kitchen! I squealed with delight! What a cute way to tell us!

We are very excited!

Thank You!

That’s all I have for you this week.

As I always try to convey… we certainly appreciate all of you. Thanks for joining us for another Tuesday Tidbits.

We wish all of you a wonderful week ahead. Whatever you have planned… make every day count and be thankful for your Blessings!

  1. Congratulations on the family news, Nance! How very exciting, indeed. This is a great way to ring in. 2024!! I am envious that you two attended a Steelers-Seahawks game in Seattle to ring in the New Year as well!

  2. Love your photos from your Seattle trip. It’s a beautiful city many times in the year. And the best news is truly a baby on the way. What a perfect way to tell you!!! Grandmas kitchen. I can only image the time you’ll cherish with a little one in the kitchen with you. Go Steelers.

  6. Congratulations, Grandma to be! Beautiful winter crystal set up. Wonderful gallery of photos from your tripping.

  7. Congratlations on your good news! You’ll love it. (Especially after they’re old enough to have a personality. I found I couldn’t relate to infants!) Your winter decor is lovely. My Christmas will still be up till the basement is back in order and it’s getting a bit “old” to me (though I do keep up two winter trees for a bit.) Soon, I hope!

    1. Thank you, Jeannie! We are excited! I enjoyed seeing your Christmas decorations.
Thanks for your lovely comments always.
      Happy New Year!

  8. What a fun way to find out you are going to be grandparents! Congratulations! As a friend told me 20 years ago when I was going to be a grandma for the first time “Grandchildren make you crazy!”

  9. Congratulations on the wonderful family news, Nancy and Sweet Man 🥰 I believe that you will make the best grandparents. How exciting? And you can keep that cold weather, that’s a little too cold for me, although it’s been so hot here that a few cooler days will be most welcome. Speaking of being welcome – Welcome Back! 2024 is going to be a fantastic year.

  10. Of course being from Cleveland for many years, the Steelers are our arch rivals! Glad you had fun at the game, though. 😉. What a cute way to let you know you’re going to be a grandma! You’ll love it!

  11. Congratulations! What a wonderful way to announce their pregnancy. I’m happy for them and for you and your Sweet Man.

  12. I’m so happy ro read your news on your impending grandparent-hood, Nancy! Your winter decor is stunning. The Seattle side of WA looks great, funny, we’re 5 hours away and haven’t been there yet. Still not sure why I don’t get notifications of your posts. So glad you dropped by so I could visit yours. Have a beautiful week!

    1. Thank you so much for the love!
I try to stop in as often as possible. And now you are in AZ so I like to see what you are up to.
      Happy New Year!

  13. Nancy, your decorating ability is way above outstanding. It looks inviting, warm and yet posh and stylish. How do you do it. My living room is full of blankets, towels, hot pads, computers and thermometer. LOL My sick husband was well enough one day last week to pack away all the Christmas stuff! Congratulations again on becoming a grandma. You are blessed. I enjoyed your brief trip to Seattle. It’s a beautiful and interesting place. 🙂

  14. Congratulations my friend!!!! You will be an amazing grandma, no doubt! And just remember…Grandmothers are just antique little girls. 😉😊😉 Huge hugs of joy go out to you!!!

Thank You So Much... for sharing your kind words. I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy schedule to share your thoughts.
