Hello Friends!

It was a great week filled with lots of activities.
🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈
First off—football! If you’re a football fan like we are, it’s been absolute football heaven. Our team may be out now, but we’ve been loving all the overtime games—so exciting! You could say even dramatic at times! We even went out to watch the National Championship Game between Miami and Indiana, which made it all the more fun. Do you like football? We do!
Adventure
After 8 weeks of rehab, I was ready to get out of the house and do what we love. We finally headed out into the desert for a bit of an adventure—four-wheeling through wide-open spaces and rugged trails.

The ride itself was half the fun as we went with our one friend who loves to drive. The conversations never stop and we have a blast.
The saguaros were standing watch as we covered the rough terrain of the desert.

Riding the back trails of Arizona is amAZing! Arizona is made up of about 53% of public land that is managed by the Bureau of Land Management. 12.1 million acres are public and open for recreation. Since we have lived here, we have taken advantage of this free, open range and have seen the beautiful backcountry of Arizona.

On this trip, we drove to an area that was covered in sparkly black rocks. (Hematite with druzy.) Everyone in our group went up high to rock hound. I stayed down low and used two walking sticks. I wanted to be safe. I worked too hard to get to where I am and did not want to fall.

I had two incredible finds while walking about. This lovely yellow flower was my first find.

And my second find was this natural heart on a rock!

Being out in the desert on a beautiful day feels wonderful! Mainly because we were absent from it for a long while. The sky is so blue and wide open. The saguaros stand quietly all around, and everything feels peaceful.
She Shed
Speaking of peaceful. I got to play in my She Shed again! I’ve always wanted a She Shed since seeing Mary’s Potting Shed 14 years ago. Sweet Man knew that so he built my She Shed for me. What a guy! (It also turns into a storage shed for all our outdoor furniture when we leave for our summer home.)
Welcome to My She Shed!

When you first walk into my She Shed, you see that it has a Rustic Southwest feel.

We picked up the Hutch on FBMP right after the shed was built. It was peach in color. I knew I wanted an old-looking Southwest look, so I painted it brown, then dry-brushed turquoise over it. I liked how it came out. I found the rug at Home Goods soon thereafter.

I am a collector. Can you tell? Sweet man built the shelves above the desk. The shelving works for my ever-changing dishes.

This is my favorite corner to play in. I made the clay ornaments years ago. Here is how I made them. I like adding them in the garland and chandelier. (I found my chandelier at a garage sale!)

I made some of the hearts you see here a few years ago. Such a fun project.

Thank You
This week was a perfect mix of adventure and comfort. We spent time out in the desert on a fun 4-wheeling ride. We took in the wide-open spaces and fresh air. Then at home, I got to play in my happy place—my She Shed. I enjoyed decorating it for Valentine’s Day. A week of sunshine, creativity, and joy… just the way we like it. 🌵❤️
Thank you for being here, for reading, and for sharing this little corner of life with me.🥰

We wish you all a wonderful week ahead. Enjoy what this upcoming week brings to you. And whatever you have planned, make every day count and be thankful for your Blessings.

Yes, those blue skies are gorgeous!! And your she shed is adorable. You’re ready for Feb 14th. What a fun space to decorate and enjoy. Nice job!
I do have fun in there!!
Thank you always for your sweet comments!
I can see why AZ appeals to you for wintering! And tour she she’d is such a fun and cozy corner of your world, from the interior decor to the view outside!
Thank you Rita. I have lots of fun in my sweet little shed. And the AZ weather and blue skies always make me smile.
I want to move into your She-Shed! Is there a spot to sleep? It’s the cutest, happiest environment ever and I love all your personal touches. Love the felt hearts and your clay ornaments (just zipped over to see how you made them.) The puffy paint is a brilliant idea and that’s probably the most fun part! Love the turquoise too and wooden walls. Reminds me a bit of up-north, too.
So glad you got out on a good excursion. I remember the first times getting out of my “zone” after Covid isolation (even though I could take walks and such), seeing something new or different… it makes a huge impact on one’s spirit. And it looks like you walked on some rocky terrain, so well done!
Thank you Jeannie for your lovely comments.
There is enough room for a daybed. Lol!
It was very rocky terrain. I was so careful!! My one friend fell and got hurt. We had to put ice on her bruise.
The ornaments were fun to make.
Thank you always for your sweet comments!
Nancy your she shed is perfect and what fun you have in decorating it. So glad you are getting out to explore more of the beautiful southwest, I know how much you enjoy your trips to the desert and rugged trails….and I am sure the temptation to hike the hills is there but you are wise to wait a bit longer in your re-coup…I LOVE sports and unfortunately our football and baseball seasons are over, but our basketball team is moving slowly but gaining momentum. The Captain and I watched that Indiana/Miami game and it had some interesting plays to say the least, but the Hoosiers came out on top. Yay! Thank you for all the eye candy and a sweet visit this early morning. Blessings Always
It was a great game last night!
Thank you always for your lovely comments. It’s always so good to hear from you. You take good care.
Oh wow Nancy, what a beautiful post❣️ Your desert pictures are stunning…that BLUE sky, and charming heart rock…so sweet…
There’s so much joy in the She Shed, so many treasures to find. I was drawn to those cute felt heart ornaments in the cute cups.

It was good to get out! Thank you, Marie.
Your she shed is just so cute decorated for Valentine’s Day. I’m glad you were wise in enjoying your first desert outing of the season. In staying low, you found other treasures that you might have missed. That heart is perfect–and right before Valentine’s Day too!
I was thrilled to find the heart! A true Godwink!
Thank you for your sweet comments. How nice of you!
Happy Tuesday!
It must have felt good to flex your wings!
They were flying!!
Thank you!
Swooning over your she-shed and everything in it! The decor/dishes are so sweet! And that drive in the dessert- amazing. I would be taking advantage of that beautiful scenery… and making sure that I didn’t injure myself. I was the same cautious way after I had surgery. No can do things that may set me back! Have a great day!
How kind of you to say such sweet things, Maria. I do appreciate them and your visit!
Thank you!
Happy Tuesday!

Its cold and gray here. Two nights of northern lights and too cloudy to see. 😬 SAD is killing me!! Lesson learned…we’ll be south for January in the future!
Thanks for enjoying my yellow flower.mThere were not very many so I was glad I saw it.
I am glad you will make it down this way next January!
Thanks for all the love!
Happy Tuesday!
So many things to love in your post this week Nancy! Arizona’s scenery is beautiful with the backdrop of the mountains. ⛰️ The blue skies are so vivid in contrast to the landscape. Love seeing your She Shed decked out for Valentine’s Day…from hutch with cute garland , to your dish collection and table with all your adorable hearts! Your chandy makes it so festive! My shed is a true shed (no electricity) and it’s in the 20s this week so it’s too cold to enjoy it right now. 🥶 Thank you for your sweet words and comments about my shed, I’m honored you were inspired. Wishing you a wonderful week ahead and continued improvement and strength. 🩷
Thank you Mary for your sweet comments. You are always an inspiration!

What a wonderful post, Nancy! How I would love to experience the outdoors in Arizona in a four wheeler! It all looks so beautiful and yes I see that pretty heart. Your she shed I so darling! Your sweet man did such a great job. It’s like playing house in there I imagine. You have it decorated so adorably. Your handmade hearts are beautiful! Thanks for sharing all the fun.

Thank you! May your weekend be filled with happy moments and peace.
What a unique rock with the heart shape, I love it. Is that crystals around the rock? How excited you must get each time you pick an orange. I bet the taste is better than any orange in the store. I love the holidays when you showcase your she shed. You are such a beautiful decorator!
Thank you my friend. The heart rock was an amazing find.
Thanks always for your sweet comments.
One more football game to enjoy this season, Nance. I’ll be pulling for Seattle!
