Tuesday Tidbits #303 The Spirit of Christmas

We are into the second week of December. With the Holidays, I feel that time goes faster than usual. Don’t you think?

Welcome to another Tuesday Tidbits a bit later then ususal. This week, I am sharing my love of decorating for Christmas, another favorite Holiday!

Welcome Friends

Believe it or not, I’m keeping things simple this year. However, I still want our home to be filled with the Spirit of Christmas.

With family arriving this week, I’ve taken on the season’s spirit by setting a pretty Christmas table. Our Spode Christmas dishes fill me with joy and gratitude. A heartfelt thank you to Sweet Man for the stunning china that makes our celebrations even more special.

I love the dappled light dancing on the table. Do you also see my tea cart?

Tea Cart

Of course, I had to get my Tea Cart all ready for Christmas. Isn’t she pretty? It’s time to enjoy the Comfort and Joy Tea from the Republic of Tea. It’s a spicy blend of cinnamon and fruit. It tastes even better in a fancy Christmas Tea Cup.

She Shed

After a two-day cleaning, the She Shed is also ready for company.

A bird decided to make a nest above the window. Do you see it? The Mom and Babies are gone, but they now enjoy our backyard water fountain and birdbath.

Come On Inside

Speaking of birds. A few Cardinals have taken up residence inside the She Shed.

My love for Cardinals shows! They have brightened the She Shed this year and are perched everywhere. The teapot, teacups, saucers, aprons and pillows are all adorned with them.

Cardinals on the pillows.

Even on the apron!

Have You Started Baking Your Christmas Cookies?

Christmas would not be Christmas without Pizzelles. Sweet Man’s favorite cookies!

I hope to bake more of our favorites this week. I really want to make Kolackys again. My Mom made these every year.

I made these a few years ago.

The Spirit of Christmas has also graced the other side of the She Shed.

I like to display Christmas cards from family and friends among the pretty dishes.

❤️❤️❤️

Cardinals are Showing Up Everywhere

My friend has them at her house as well.

On her tree!

Even on her dishes!

The Christmas Spirit

One does not need to be a child to feel the Christmas Spirit.

“Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.” ~Norman Vincent Peale.

It comes with the smell of favorite cookies baking in the oven. A special Carole plays on the airwaves. It shows up when sparkling lights are lit at night.

A neighborhood house all decked out for Christmas.

The wonderment of it all comes from within.

“Christmas isn’t a season. It’s a feeling.” —Edna Ferber

With the Christmas Spirit in our hearts. Let’s not forget the Reason for the Season.

Every Christmas our hand-carved Nativity Scenes are displayed.

Thank You

We hope you find the Christmas spirit.

As I always try to convey… we sure do appreciate all of you. Thank you for joining us for another Tuesday Tidbits.

We are wishing all of you a wonderful week ahead. Enjoy what this upcoming week brings to you. And whatever you have planned… make every day count and be thankful for your Blessings.
