Hello Friends.
Merry December!
The last month of 2025 has come!

This is not my usual kind of blog post. But since Hip Surgery, I am not my usual self. I’m doing well. Just slower than usual.

AI? Love It? Or Hate It?
Why Do We Feel So Strongly About It?

AI is becoming part of our Everyday Life. Many people love it for its fast, quick responses to questions. Have you googled something as of late? The rapid response is Google AI. The research is done so quickly. Gone are the days of going to the library and using the card catalog. The Britannica Encyclopedias are now shelved in Antique Stores.
I enjoy the quick research AI does. Scrolling for the answer is pretty much gone. Lots of people also enjoy the creative aspects of AI, which spark energy for some.
“Where curiosity becomes creation.” ~AI
Others pretty much hate it. They feel AI will cause people to lose their jobs. I just saw an artist talk about it on Instagram today. A corporation licensed her to make art for them. Well, not anymore. The corporation uses AI now. For some, AI still gives many a sense of uneasiness. I remember a conversation with friends a year or two ago, and one woman hated AI! Well, two years later, that same woman started sharing how AI is creating marvels in the Healthcare industry and looks forward to more AI developments. Is the uneasiness going away? I don’t think so, but some people may be becoming more tolerant.
Most of us sit somewhere in the middle — appreciating all the convenience while still keeping an eye on the bigger picture.
Speaking of Pictures
Since I am recuperating from Hip Replacement Surgery, I have some time on my hands. So I decided to have fun with AI.
The following image is mine and it’s my Tea Cart in our dining room.

I asked ChatGPT to put my tea cart in a Christmas Tea Room. Here are some examples.
- The following image was created by AI.

2.The second tea cart lost a shelf. Notice the tea service is not accurate as well. The following image was created by AI.

3. My She Shed is not decorated for Christmas this year but ChatGPT did a nice job and even added snow! However, notice the spelling of Merry Christmas on the pillow and throw.

A bit of fun for me, but also strange. I am down the middle on AI. AI is excellent in some situations. However, I am concerned about job loss, AI data privacy, and the unknown aspects of AI. The uncertainty is uncomfortable for me.
I hope I gave you something to think about. I will be interested in your thoughts.

Hip Surgery Progress
I am doing well. I can walk with a cane in our home and for short distances outside. But still feel much more comfortable with a walker after I have been sleeping or sitting for a while. Little by little I am getting there! Nights are a bit hard as I can’t turn over on my side yet until I get the okay from the doctor. I go to see the Doctor this week for my post-op checkup. It will be two weeks this coming Thursday since surgery.
Thank You
That’s all I have this week.
Thanks for sticking with me on this topic. It’s not what I usually post.
How do you feel about AI? Are you like me, down the middle on AI? Do you use it in your everyday life?
I’d love to hear your thoughts, so feel free to leave a comment or share your experiences.
I truly appreciate you stopping by and spending a few moments with me today. Your continued prayers for my recovery are still welcome. Thank you, and Merry Tuesday!

Glad your recovery is going well even if it is probably a little slower than you’d like. AI is kind of like talking politics or religion. I’m like everyone else with regard to googling something, but I feel for the artists including a close family member whose natural skills are being diminished by it. With everything else going on around us, I don’t get all worked up about it, but I do a lot more fact checking when I read things these days and a lot of times it’s fake news. Good luck at your appointment.
I agree wholeheartedly! I have to fact-check everything nowadays—so much fake news. And AI is not always correct, let me add that. I hate that it is taking creative artists out of their jobs!
Thank you for the well wishes. I have to tell you… I am sooooo ready to be back to my old self.
Merry Tuesday!
So thankful your surgery went well, Nancy. I’ve been out of the loop lately, but happy to catch up with you and your recovery. Rest well! 🎄❤️
I thank you, Mitzy!
I am a bit tired of resting… lol! I want to be my old self again. But I know all in good time.
Thank you for the well wishes my friend!
Merry Tuesday!
So glad to hear your surgery went well Nancy! Prayers for a continued and speedy recovery. I’m on the fence about AI, but I do worry about the loss of jobs. Your shed created image with the misspelled ‘Merry Christmas’ is a hoot! I’ve seen AI images on Pinterest linked to recipes, you can tell that they are AI generated since they don’t look quite right. Wishing you a healthy and happy week ahead. ❤️
I laughed so hard when I saw my she shed covered in snow! It was a “hoot!” I agree the AI images do look off and spelling is a bit difficult for it. I wonder why? 😄
Thanks for the well wishes! I am almost 2 weeks out and I want to be healed and walking my old route. I hope to be baking some Christmas Cookies next week!
Merry December my friend!
I am happy to see you doing so well after surgery even if it is taking a bit longer. Enjoy sitting outside in your garden, my friend ❤️🎄❤️
As far as AI, I have very mixed feelings about it. I don’t like seeing our creativity overtake by AI, I am upset that jobs will be lost. It has great possibilities with healthcare. I guess I feel the same as you!
My feelings exactly! AI has us in a disconcerting state.
They told me that in 4-6 weeks, I’ll be my old self. It’s not even 2 weeks yet, but darn, I want to be out and about, walking my old route and playing with my dishes. Lol!
Thanks for all the love.
Merry Tuesday, dear friend!
I was hoping that your recovery would be faster for your own comfort. But happy to hear that it’s progressing well! 😀
As for AI, I can see the potential benefits in science, research and development but lament the huge power requirements to operate the data centre’s required by AI. Another consequence of AI is the income loss to the economy via employment and payroll. Pros and cons. It’s going to be another major adjustment.
You voiced my opinion so well! AI has us all a bit leery!
As for me, I am progressing well, but darn it, I want to be done. I want to be out walking my old route and trimming my rosebushes. I am not even two weeks out yet. So I need to be patient. I guess.
Merry December to you, my friend! So good to hear from you.
Nancy, good luck with your Doctor’s appointment! I’m glad you are on the mend. As far as AI goes, I think it is good in some cases but mostly I don’t like it. I got a new car last year that is smarter than me! Somehow it connects to my phone mapping app and it remembers places I go. When I get in the car to go to water aerobics I get a notification that looks something like this “you will be at the pool in 20 minutes.” Scary!
Oh! My! Gosh! That is scary! AI has us all a bit leery!
Thanks for the well wishes. I am on the mend, but I clearly do not like to sit still.
Merry December to you, Beth!
Every week, you will be stronger and before you know it, you won’t even remember you had the surgery!
That’s what I have been told. I already see a marked improvement since day 1. It’s not even two weeks yet. I guess I am one that does not like to sit still.
Merry December to you dear Dorothy!
I’m with you on the subject of AI and do have concerns about it. Each day/week I’m sure will show continued improvement with your hip. In the meantime, enjoy decorating for the holidays.🙂
Thanks Ingrid. I hope to bake Christmas cookies next week!
Merry December to you my friend!
Hi Nancy. So glad you are on the mend. You will be out running around before you know it. I am not on the AI band wagon. I just don’t trust it.
I hear ya!
And yes, I am on the mend. I hope to be baking Christmas Cookies next week.
Merry December!
Hello Nancy!
I really enjoyed this information on AI and the comments. I have heard about it, but really don’t know how to use it, and appreciated seeing your photos that actually used it. That part was kind of fun! My daughter’s have mentioned it, having to do with writing a report, presentation type things for fun. My grandkids, one being an artist, mentioned opinions similar to the comments expressed. I enjoyed the education, thank you!
Nancy, you are doing fantastic with your hip replacement surgery…already using your cane about the house! Excited for your post op visit…I think you and the doctor will be so pleased. Good you have things you are looking forward to…
As you said, you are trying to be patient, and that will do you well in the long run. (No pun intended 🤣)
Keep us posted, and again, thank you for such an interesting post. 🤗
Thanks so much Sue. I am not sure I know all that much about AI but I do know I am down the middle about it. Lol!
Today has been a great day with my hip! I have walked very well all around the house! Yay for me!
Merry December my friend!
I’m so happy to read your are recuperating well, Nancy! Walkers and canes are good to use when needed and take your time. Not being able to sleep on my side would bother me too, but its for the best. 2 weeks! And you seem to have plenty of creative energy!
As for AI, I agree that the tool has eliminated some jobs. But for artistic purposes, I feel it serves a purpose and can be fun. Your AI images are cool. Yes its still learning. The more we use it the better it gets. Last summer I needed a Pic of a barrel racer. She had no face! 😆 I recently used the AI image maker in WordPress to create a pic of advent candles. Took 5 tries, but not bad.
Right now my only issue with AI are the bots from China browsing my blog posts. I had 30K views yesterday! Been like this for 2 months. WordPress assures me its not harmful to my blog. I look on the bright side and tell myself its learning how to make good images and learning facts I use in my posts for information. 😁
Anyway, keep recovering my friend, pace yourself and enjoy December! Xoxo
Wow! 30K? Crazy! But so interesting.
I am having a great day today and have been using my cane primarily. Woo Hoo!
Thanks for all the love. Merry December!
Excellent images. I’m happy to here your recovering well from hip surgery. I’ve been using AI for going on three years now. And now my young staff member who got me using it is building a proprietary AI for the office that we are training with our own data so we can use AI, but have minimal interaction with public clouds. Working with AI at the programming level takes a lot of the mytique out of it and you get to know how stupid AI can be. It will eventually be seen as another tool like speadsheets, word processors, photo editors, etc.
Tim I knew you would know far more than I do and you use it often in your everyday life. It’s good to hear your perspective. Thank you. And thank you for the well wishes. I had a great day today.
Very happy to read you’re doing well on the recovery, Nancy.
As for AI, my thoughts are around education. I remembering having a conversation with my husband and a couple of his fellow educators about 3 or 4 years ago, when ChatGPT was surfacing for general use. The disadvantage is that the cumulative research behind an inquiry can be wrong, and so it can promote group think in a way thats entirely ofd base. Another disadvantage is about your mention of lazy research for students. Educators must instill the need for journaled research sources from students to weed out the use of AI generated material.
The photos can be fun, but the example of poor spelling is just another thorn in my side.
I concur. We have a few educators in our family, and they say the same thing. Students do need to learn how to research and how to write an essay on their own. And Yes! AI is wrong quite often. I often can tell by the spelling. Or the picture looks a little off.
I had a great report at my post-op appointment. So all is good! Thank you for checking in with me. It means so much.
Merry Thursday!
I often find myself looking at google AI, especially when googling Xray and medical reports and doctor speak! But I also know of two who have lost their jobs due to AI. I suspect it has a place but is too easy to use in the wrong way and it will take some time to sort that out…hopefully in a way good for all.
It’s all so complicated and sad that people are losing their jobs.
And hello to you! How are you doing? I am glad you are well!
Merry Thursday!
Wishing you strength and patience during your healing ordeal! It’s hard to find a balance, when the mind says let’s go and the body says not so fast! AI – I’m an impartial observer to a complex perspective!
Thank you Mary! And I am in line with you!
Merry December!
It is amazing what AI can do in a matter of seconds, but as your pictures show, it is not very accurate or even logical (she shed with snow in AZ?😂). Not only that, but I really am afraid of the intrusiveness of AI. Creativity was already being discouraged in schools; AI could totally destroy it. Your surgery went so quickly that I’m sure it must feel like your recuperation should go quickly too. I’m praying for patience and healing for you!
Patience! That’s the word for my recuperation. I had a fabulous post-op appointment with the doctor, and he is very pleased with my progress.
And yes, I agree. AI has become intrusive in so many ways in Education.
Let’s hope it all gets figured out.
Merry Thursday!
I am happy to know that you’re progressing nicely and that you’re being a good patient, Nancy.
I have not used AI, but some of my family has. My son Mike who is a video game artist is having such a hard time in finding a job. I see AI as being detrimental because of that and I see kids using it as a convenience; not good! It was fun looking at your pictures, though.
Happy December, Nancy.
Oh, I will pray for your son Mike. That saddens me, and I hope he finds a job soon. Just like I said, this is what scares me.
I am progressing. I hope to be baking Christmas Cookies next week.
I am so glad you are doing better Nancy. It seems like it takes forever to heel but in the end it will be well worth it. I don’t think I could avoid sleeping on my side! I know it is killing you that you can’t do all your amazing decorating but it will be there next year. Prayers for continued healing!
Thank you so much Diane! I am progressing very well.
Merry December!
AI will be an apocalypse for the majority of people, with the exception of tech billionaires. Senator Bernie Sanders’ recent YouTube videos sums up a bleak future unless voters demand regulation and oversight.
Here’s to getting back to your usual wonderful self, Nance.
Thank you Mr. Mark!
Merry December! 🎄
