Tuesday Tidbits #313 What a Whirlwind!

Greetings!

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments and warm wishes on our six-year anniversary of Tuesday Tidbits. It was heart warming to hear from so many of you. Your support means the world to us.

I’m glad to have you back again this week as we say goodbye to February.

Whirlwind of a Week

We started out the week with blue skies and saguaros.

Next thing we were seeing Flamingos and Spanish Moss!

Then we found ourselves in the cold winter tundra!

Florida

We had an exciting week in three different states. Of course, we started in Arizona. A quick trip on a jet plane had us landing in Tampa, Florida. The Flamingo is from the Tampa Airport.

This must be The Stairway to Heaven. This was seen at Tampa Airport. Yes, those are ladders.

We enjoyed visiting with family in Florida and even went to the excellent movie “A Complete Unknown,” a historical view of Bob Dylan. We really enjoyed the movie. Please click on the pictures to enjoy some pictures from our Florida trip.

I saw this in Florida. We have seen the small book libraries but this one was for Puzzle Friends!

But all warm things must come to an end, and then it was time to embrace the freezing winter temperatures of the Pennsylvania Tundra! ☃️ We went back to our summer home. Except it’s not summer! 🥶

Pennsylvania

Our beloved lake is frozen!

Mountains of snow can be found everywhere!

The deer are eating everything they can find. Everything has been covered in snow since November.

This bush has had all it’s leaves eaten and some of the bark as well.

This bark must be tasty!

I made a pot of chicken soup for us to enjoy for lunch this week. It warmed us right up!

It’s C O L D!

A beautiful sunrise seen from our kitchen window! It was 16°.

SPRING

Since it doesn’t feel like Spring outside, I thought it would be fun to bring a little bit of Spring inside!

🌼💛🌼

I hear Spring starts in 24 days! Our little town here in Pennsylvania is ready! They have not seen grass since November. I look forward to the warm and colorful days of Spring in Arizona and Pennsylvania.

Arizona Spring!

Pennsylvania Spring!

Are you ready for Spring? I am ready for warmer temperatures and bright colors in Nature!

Thank You

It was a great week! Full of fun and adventures! I am so glad you followed along with us.

As I always try to convey… we sure do appreciate all of you. Thank you for joining us for another Tuesday Tidbits.

Happy March!

  1. There is something about daffodils that just brings everything to life. Perfect in that yellow pitcher, too! You get around — I’ve heard PA has had more than its share of snow. I’m glad you could get into your summer house (and have a little heat, too!) It really is beautiful — it just lasts so long! Someone else just posted that flamingo from FL — tis the season to visit. Your granddog Francis is a handsome one, too! Have a marvelous week.

    1. We thought the puzzle library was a great idea as well!
There is a warm-up coming. Now for the dirty slushy snow!
      Happy Tuesday Judy!

    1. Thank you!
And you both get around as well. We all are looking forward to SPRING!
Thank you for stopping by. It’s always so good to hear from you!

  2. Such wonderful photos, once again, Nancy! I love the beautiful white house and those columns…and the pic of Francis the granddog. Super sweet! 🥰

  3. Wow, a whirlwind indeed, Nancy! Love the giant flamingo! Your granddog is a Boykin Spaniel, like my Brodie! I’m amazed to see your frozen tundra of Pennsylvania. I think you’ll be happy to get back to the desert.

  4. Beautiful photos Nancy and such a wonderful variety of your weather encounters. When you were in Tampa, you were about 150 miles north of us here in Cape Coral so you got a taste of our warmer temps. I have made so many lists of things to get done this Spring but so far they are only lists of “wanna do’s”…LOL! I love your bright yellow vignette in your kitchen…I have done a spring green vignette 🐸🦚…and currently have more green pieces on my dining table waiting for a spurt of energy so I can style the hutch. I was a bit lazy and left the red touches of Christmas as a carry-over to Valentines Day but now I really must move on to St. Patrick’s Day. ☘️🍀 Enjoy your days no matter which home you are at…Hugs and I love the deer pic.💚☘️🌴

    1. Those deer were eating corn, we think. Someone had fed them.
Thank you for enjoying the sunny yellow vignette. I just bought yellow tea towels. The kitchen is enjoying the yellows! 💛
Thank you for your visit. I did think of you when we were in Tampa!

  5. Happy Tuesday to you, Miss Nancy 🥰 That Flamingo is amazing and I love the way the installation is from the perspective of below the surface of the water – how clever. All that snow looks so beautiful and I’m sure you are looking forward to warmer weather. About as much as I am looking forward to cooler days. Our autumn (fall) begins on Saturday and (fingers crossed) the temps begin to quickly become more comfortable.

    1. Hello Clare! Thank you for enjoying this post. Wasn’t that flamingo something else?
We are looking g forward to warmer temps.
Thanks for always stopping over for a visit. I am always happy to hear from you!
      Hugs!

  6. Yes, definitely a whirlwind. Your summer home looks equally beautiful in winter as it does in the summer. However, as pretty as it looks during winter conditions, I’ll stick with my no snow lifestyle here in the desert. 🌵😁🌵

    1. The snow is pretty, but it’s the cold temperatures. Being chilled to the bone is not fun for us anymore. We are ready for the desert.
Thank you for stopping in. Enjoy the rest of your day.

  7. Nancy, it looks like you had a busy but wonderful week! Your spring vignette is so pretty, as well as your snow photographs. A pot of warm chicken soup is just the perfect meal for cold winter days. Hopefully, spring will arrive soon. Have a wonderful week!

  8. Nancy, 3 states in one week! That was a whirlwind. The snow is beautiful but only for a couple of days. Stay warm, my friend!

  9. My husband’s family lives in Erie PA and they got over 100” of snow! Isn’t the flower blooming season beginning soon in Arizona? The flowers in the pictures are beautiful!

    1. Soon the trees and cacti will be blooming. I am not sure of wildflower season as we have had very little rain.
And yes, Erie, Pa is about 25 minutes north of our lake house. Our little town has seen over 200” of snow this year.

Thank You So Much... for sharing your kind words. I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy schedule to share your thoughts.
