I Love Slow Mornings
The ones where I don’t need to be up at the crack of dawn and I can linger for as long as I like. How about you?
When I don’t have to rush, I am filled with significant energy.

Now that Spring has Sprung and the sun is rising a little earlier, I feel my internal alarm clock is also waking a bit earlier. That’s okay! For me, it’s not about staying in bed. (Even though that’s wonderful!) It’s about dawdling, where I begin my day on my terms. I appreciate the earlier mornings when I can sit on the patio watching the birds, catching up on my reading or editing photos. Relaxation at its finest; that’s what retirement is all about!

A stroll around the backyard gardens is a perfect slow-morning addition.

Cool Spring
Spring seems to be on the same wavelength as me. It appears to be unhurried on waking up here in the desert. The wildflowers are blooming, but the temperatures are still not quite as warm as I would like them. Oh, and the rain continues. We have an extraordinarily green desert because of all the rainfall.

Poppy Adventure
We did not get to Bartlett Lake to view the Wild Poppies this past Sunday due to more rain; however, we saw plenty of Poppies on an adventure we had a week ago. Wild Lupines are dotting the landscape as well.

My Morning
My lovely, slow morning has come to an end. Wasn’t it marvelous? I was delighted to spend time with you today as I shared some nature therapy—a welcome restoration for our minds.
I am off to pick some basil for my lunchtime salad. Isn’t it beautiful?
