Tuesday Tidbits #107 ~Apple Cranberry Crisp

Oh do I have a goodie for you today! It’s perfect for the Holidays but could be made anytime.

Welcome In Friends!

Apple Cranberry Crisp

It’s quite easy to make! It’s not real sweet and it’s not real tart. We both enjoyed the flavor and the crisp topping. I adapted this recipe from an Instagram friend @kathstyleliving She has fabulous instastories where she shares cooking recipes and captures her beautiful home for her IG squares. She used Pecans instead of walnuts and quick oats instead of old fashioned oats. If you are on Instagram I hope you give her a follow.

Cut your apples up in chunks and add the cranberries. Mix with a half cup of sugar and put it all in a 13×9 casserole dish.

Next get a bowl and add your Oatmeal, flour, walnuts, brown sugar and melted butter. Mix until you get a beautiful topping.

Spread the topping on top of your fruit.

Bake for one hour at 350 degrees. Then serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.

It’s delicious… especially with a cup of tea.

Hope you give it a try. Let me know if you do. Thank you all for your lovely comments. I enjoy hearing from you.

  1. Nancy, that sounds delicious! I’m going to make it this morning. My older twin sisters are coming for a one-night visit. We are making a grapevine Christmas tree for this years Christmas project! I think would be a perfect holiday treat for this afternoon tea time! Thank you, thank you!

    1. I enjoy Crisps for that exact reason… no pie crust! This is delicious. I am going to buy a few more bags of cranberries to have in the fridge so that I can bake this again. It was the combination of flavors that we really enjoyed!
