Tuesday Tidbits #216 March On!

Welcome March!

Hello March!

Isn’t the month of March Grand?! Nature begins to wake up ever so slowly in many places here in the states. Birdsong begins along with the buzzing bees. Here, in the desert, wildflowers begin to bloom and the desert trees begin to share their blossoms. If you are lucky enough to be here in the Southwest… you can see the contrast of new Spring beginnings with the snow that is still left on the mountains.

Spring is a miracle of sorts… all that was hidden has quickly reappeared. Could it be Mother Nature’s Magic Act?

Another contrast… saguaros and wildflowers!

Spring Brings Irish Green

When March arrives I begin to bring out the Irish Green!

Spring Brings

St. Patrick’s Day

and

Irish Soda Bread!

Irish Soda Bread
Warm, right out of the oven!
Time to slice it!
Delicious!

I found a new recipe for Whiskey Irish Soda Bread from Mary from Home is Where the Boat Is. I followed her recipe exactly… except I did not add caraway seeds. My Bread baked in about 35 minutes. It depends on your oven. It was delicious! Perfect for St. Patrick’s Day or any day but especially in the Spring! (Note: you can omit soaking the raisins in whiskey if you wish.) Give Mary a visit… she has a beautiful Blog!

Speaking of Spring

I know Spring is not here yet… but look at this yard we saw the other day! It screams Spring! How beautiful!

A beautiful yard!
I believe these are Cape Marigolds or Dimorphotheca or African Daisies.

Thank You

As I always try to convey… we sure do appreciate all of you. Thank you for joining us for another Tuesday Tidbits.

💚☘️💚

Wishing all of you a wonderful week ahead. Enjoy what this upcoming week brings to you. And whatever you have planned… make every day count and be thankful for your Blessings.

  1. Good morning, Nancy! You have given us much beauty to enjoy in this post. I love your St. Patrick’s Day setting ☘️☘️☘️ I wish I had a slice of the bread to go along with my coffee this morning. That yard is truly amazing. Happy Tuesday, my friend 💚☘️💚

  2. Beautiful photos. Your all in bloom. The lake with snowy mountains shot is exquisite. Laurie used to make Irish soda bread. Yours looks wonderful.

  3. I love all your green! And those wonderful purple and yellow blooms. Yes, spring in Michigan comes slowly — but you can see it coming and it’s so very welcome! Happy week!

  4. I love love all your March and Spring vignettes Nancy! Spring is indeed a magical time, everyday there are new blooms and new flowers, I just love going out and about and seeing the landscape transform right before our eyes! The Irish Soda bread sounds wonderful, I would definitely soak the raisins in whiskey 🙂 Have a wonderful week!

  5. Beautiful images of spring! I love your soda bread, the texture looks wonderful. One of my favorites.
And I also love your green Depression glass. I have a few pieces, but way more of the pink glass. They are so durable and pretty.

    1. I have some pink back at the lakehouse.
Glad you enjoyed seeing the green.
      The soda bread was delicious!
      Happy Tuesday!☘️

  6. Those African Daisies look amazing, as does that Irish Soda Bread – yum! Happy March to you, Nancy. Over here, we’re looking forward to some cooler weather – once the current mini heat wave dissipates that is.

    1. Thank you Clare!
Hope cooler weather comes your way. It has been all mixed up and crazy up here in the States…weather wise.
      Happy Wednesday to you!

  7. I love Irish Soda Bread and also scones, and your bread looks delicious. Happy Spring! Although it is gloomy and cold today, spring is starting to tease us in Oklahoma. Trees are beginning to bloom and pansies and bulbs are making a hesitant appearance. Your nature pictures of contrast are amazing. Don’t we live in a beautiful world?

  8. Your green decorating is beautiful, as always! The soda bread looks super moist and those flowers are stunning!!!!! I was just talking about you to my husband a few days ago. We were talking about going to Arizona and trying to figure out the peak flower month to go. I was telling him how you told me not to go in the heat peak and about the gorgeous flowers you had posted.

    1. We are having a wildflower season right now. And in April the trees start to bloom as well as the cacti.
Hope you can visit sometime soon!

  9. Good morning, Nancy! I just got a pingback from your post, I’m sorry I missed it last year. The wildflowers and scenery are beautiful and I love your green vignettes, especially the sweet honey pot! (Belleek?) Thank you for shout out and so glad you enjoyed the Irish Soda Bread. ☘️💚

    1. I just updated this post as it went into my drafts folder for some reason! I wanted it in my sideboard of my Blog. So it’s probably why you got the PingBack again today. Thanks for enjoying my post! You just made my day! Have a Blessed day!
