Tuesday Tidbits #263 A Late Edition

Hello Folks!

Welcome to a Late Edition of Tuesday Tidbits!

These beautiful falls are located in the center of our town.

Family time is here again, so I put down my phone, cook up a storm, and enjoy the fun! Our hearts are full.

🌵💙🌵

I enjoy blogging very much, but I also want to be in the moment when we gather with family. Family Fun is so important and I make it a priority.

A few Coots came to visit.

Social Media vs Blogging

As I write this, there seems to be a worldwide META (Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and the What’s Up app) outage.

My time on Instagram has slowed. The platform wants our precious time.

I often wonder how long the influencers are on their phones to make video reels. Let alone get all the content perfected, which is day after day! I commend them, but yet… oh my!

My first desert wildflower of the season.

Blogging

I have often said… I own my blog. I do not own my Instagram account. My IG account could all go away in an instant, kind of like today. Poof!

I know all things do not last forever. Nonetheless, I enjoy the connections we all have through blogging. Our beautiful community here is inspirational, joyful, and thoughtful.

This brings me to say. When caught up in the present and enjoying life’s simple pleasures, I do not check in with all of you as often as I should. I hope to do so shortly. I miss all of you.

Until then, I hope you enjoy all the simple pleasures life brings you.

Thank You for Being Here!

As I always try to convey… we certainly appreciate all of you. Thanks for joining us for another Tuesday Tidbits.

We wish all of you a wonderful week ahead. Whatever you have planned… make every day count and be thankful for your Blessings!

  1. It’s so important to enjoy “. . . all the simple pleasures life brings you.” I love that, Nancy. Happy Tuesday to you and yours and savour your time with family.

  2. Spring in AZ is so beautiful, Nancy! Gorgeous shots, my friend! Our blogs offer the creative side to our days but family time must come first. As for social media, I dropped Instagram long ago and I really only use Facebook for keeping up with friends and family. I have more fun sharing photos with a local Facebook photography group. Have a great afternoon!

  3. I’m with you, Nance. I set aside my blog/social media hour shortly after I arise early each morning, for reading and creating. I’ll take photos as I go through life, sure. Other than that, I don’t think about SM.

  4. I agree — we own our blogs, they don’t own us. I love blogging and my only social media is Facebook and I’m not a terribly reliable FB person. I’ll check in for birthdays and scan a bit but so many sponsored posts, even when I modify settings. It provides some news of people but not the richness that blog friendships do. (Or learning about new places, ideas, eye candy, etc!). Have a fabulous week!

  5. Nancy, the precious moments happy quickly and we must enjoy them while we can. Don’t worry, those of us that love you and your content will be here. It is beneficial to unplug, my friend 🥰

  6. I agree Nancy…family should come first. I don’t really do social media as it takes too much time and effort. I am good to get a post out every now and then. Thank you for your beautiful photos. Hugs

  7. Nancy, I am very glad you prioritized your family over your blog. We are all blogging friends, but that just does not reach the level of family. Social media does suck our time and attention if we let it. I think the day of outage, which did not affect me, was a wakeup call to all of us!

  8. I resonate with your thoughts and feelings regarding the “time” opportunities and the priority’s we must create. I love when I have the opportunity to check-in with others here in the blogging world, but as of late those times seem to present themselves infrequently. Resting in the trust that the time necessary is always provided for…maybe not the quantity I hope for, but time nonetheless. Hugs to you dear friend, for all the delightful things you take the time to share!!
