Autumn’s Arrival is Coming
If you can’t beat ‘em then join ‘em. Despite my reluctance to bid farewell to Summer, I have chosen to wholeheartedly welcome Fall. I have decorated the LakeHouse in all the Colors of the Season!
I’ve begun lighting candles again. During the summer months, I usually don’t. The fragrance of pumpkin-scented candles gets me in the spirit of fall.
Adding simple fall touches around the home provides a warm welcome to the season and creates an inviting atmosphere.
Decorating this mantle fills me with immense joy. My Dad built this fireplace, and the presence of sweet man’s deer mount hanging overhead brings me great happiness.
The memories made in this kitchen are remarkable. My Mom cooked many delicious meals here, and now I get to do the same.
She would be proud of this pumpkin pie I made in her kitchen!
Let’s have some pie out in the dining room.
When adding autumn accents, let’s not forget the outdoor areas around our homes. Here, I share how I decorated my Potting Bench on the back patio. A big thank you to sweet man for building this bench for me. I love it, and it’s fun to decorate! I don’t use it for potting plants. It holds our tea or cocktails when sitting out on the patio.

Nancy, you have welcomed fall so beautifully in your home. Every vignette is perfect. I have always admired the fireplace and didn’t know if the buck was from your dad or sweet man! Butch would say it is a nice one. I love the new tablecloth, it is stunning. I have started my transition, but it is currently half finished. I enjoyed seeing your autumn decor.

Ooh, that pie looks delicious, and I love the edging. When you change your seasonal decorations, I always wonder where you store them all because you could teach a class on how to decorate a home for the various seasons. I’m always in awe.

I have two tubs for fall here at the LakeHouse. It’s easy storage and easily accessible.

Good morning, Nancy! Your home always looks so warm and inviting. All of the fall displays you have created are gorgeous! I adore the rich colors of autumn, and you have displayed them beautifully. The fall tablecloth on your breakfast table is so pretty, and I remember my grandmother having some of those same brown pottery pieces displayed in her farmhouse kitchen. Knotty pine walls always lend themselves so perfectly to the array of autumn colors and accessories. Yours are lovely. I really enjoy all the touches, the vignettes, color combos and lovely pieces from fall blooms to china. Yur fireplace and that wonderful tablecloth are a great pair too!
