Tuesday Tidbits #198 Let’s Be Grateful

Hi Friends!

I’m so glad you are here.

Hello November!

I believe I said it last week as well but I am going to say it again… this year is flying by! Another week gone in a flash. Speaking of flying and things that happen in a flash… we flew back to AZ! It’s always good to be back but with that comes a whirlwind of projects of opening up the house. Slowly but surely it all gets done.

Our beloved mountain named Daisy Mountain!

There’s still lots to do but today I feel more settled. I definitely will mention that in my Journal. For November’s Journal… daily entries of gratitude will appear. How’s your Journal coming along? Can you list 3 things you are grateful for daily… during the month of November?

November Fall Vibes

Fall Decor

We arrived here in AZ a few days ago and it was later in the fall season then usual. (We did enjoy the fall colors back in Pennsylvania. It was a glorious October full of dazzling color!) However, this brings me to a dilemma… I may not unpack all my fall decor for our winter home this year. I do not want to rush the weeks away in November either as I definitely need a “slow down” of sorts. But in a few short weeks the thoughts of Christmas will be dancing in my head. So for now, I’ll just add a few fall touches by adding lots of twinkling lights, candles, some autumn colors and pumpkin scents throughout our home. Simple yet fulfilling.

“We need time to dream, time to remember, time to reach for the infinite. Time to be.” ~Gladys Taber

ARIZONA

This will give us time to sit on our back patio, dine alfresco, take walks in the neighborhood, a hike in the desert, sunset watching and of course adventurous Jeep rides in the desert! We love our Arizona! It’s time to enjoy!

I will add a fall throw on that one chair.
Coffee or tea outside.
A favorite place to hike at Spur Cross Trail.
A corral found on a desert adventure.
Those Desert Views!
Those desert sunsets!
An Arizona Sunset tugs at our hearts!

NOVEMBER

This very well may be the month for me to slow down. Perhaps a time to take pause and watch the days get shorter. Simplicity is calling my name. I am going to count my blessings.

Hear blessings dropping their blossoms around you.” ~Rumi

Thank You

As I always try to convey… we sure do appreciate all of you. Thank you for joining us for another Tuesday Tidbits.

🧡🌵🧡🌵🧡

Wishing all of you a wonderful week ahead. Enjoy what November brings to you this upcoming week.

Whatever you have planned… make every day count and be thankful for your Blessings.

  1. Happy November! Enjoy your beautiful winter home. Thanks for the reminder to be grateful for what we have. I keep a gratitude journal every day of the year. Enjoy your week!

    1. I started journaling this year and I am enjoying! And being grateful everyday of the year is wonderful.
Thanks for coming by! Happy November!

  2. Such glorious photos Nancy!! I know it’s overwhelming when you return and you are anxious to get settled plus update your seasonal decor, but you are smart to take it slow and I love your November focus on gratitude. I have been a worry wart lately {for no reason!} and I need to take inspiration from you and jot down things I’m grateful for everyday, thank you! Enjoy your beautiful desert and take it slow!

  3. Good morning, Nancy… a lovely post that I appreciate for its sentiment as well as the always lovely images. You capture the beauty of the Arizona landscape so well. I was delighted to see the quote from Gladys Taber. It dates me, for sure, but I remember her wonderful columns in the popular “women’s magazines” of the early 1970s.

    1. I too remember her… so when I came across the quote I had to use it!
Thanks for coming by and enjoying the Arizona landscape! It’s always good to hear from you!
      Happy November!

  4. Glad you are back in Arizona, Nancy and are slowing down a bit.

My health made me slow down and it has made a difference in a good way. Love your photos and love that you are journaling.

I keep a daytimer that not only keeps me informed..there are also places to jot down things to be thankful for and things to improve upon and all sorts of inputs. I LOVE IT. Each month can be a new beginning and the good news is, I don’t have to complete all that I aspire to in one month. It is okay to add it to the next month and that relieves a lot of pressure we put on ourselves.

And as Martha would say…that is a good thing.
    Hugs, Kari

    1. Jodie… there is nothing like sitting outside anytime of day here in our beautiful Arizona.
Thanks so much for the Welcome!
      Happy November!

  5. Happy Wednesday, Nancy. I love seeing the desert views and your beautiful Arizona. The owl mug is so cute! Gratefulness will change an attitude for sure and journaling keeps me focused. I am enjoying a respite this week. Happy November dear one!

    1. I am glad you are enjoying your respite.
And I am happy to hear you Journal as well. And it’s true… it keeps me focused as well.
      Happy November dear Pam.

  6. I can see why you’re not into decorating much — just getting home and unpacking is more than enough.Been there, done that — just last month! But with candles, pumpkins, lights and some fallish blooms you’ll be more than decorated. And then? Ho, Ho Ho!

  7. Such gorgeous photos, Nancy. I’ve no doubt you’re glad to be home, but then again, I’ve no doubt you will miss the lake also. Fancy living near a mountain named Daisy – what a delightful name for a mountain. 🥰

    1. In the spring… if there is just the right amount of rain… the whole mountain blooms in yellow daisies!
      🌼🌼🌼🌼
Thank you for the love and take good care my friend.

  8. I understand about the transitions. Today we dealt with motorcycle and car batteries with issues, a laptop that needed speakers replaced, and a GFI plug that was not operational. All were surprises, but nothing was insurmountable. We are still thankful for our two lifestyles.

    1. Yes… we are too. But the small projects add up and then throw in a surprise or two… we’ll make sit all even more interesting!
      Take good care my friend.

  9. Happy November, Nancy! I love both of your homes. You are so blessed to live in two beautiful places. I know you must be exhausted getting settled back in to your Arizona home. Hopefully, you will find time to relax and enjoy the month of November. Have a wonderful weekend, sweet friend!
