Tuesday Tidbits #204 It’s That Time of Year

Are You Enjoying the Busy?

You know… wrapping presents, baking cookies, Christmas cards, buying presents… It’s That Time of Year!

Inside the She Shed all dressed up for Christmas.
The She Shed Corner Cupboard enjoys some Christmas Details as well.
Christmas is added to the shelving in my she shed. I added Christmas plates, cups and bowls and even Decked the Halls with treasured family Holiday cards
She’s all Dressed Up Outside as well!
This small whimsical kitchen counter tree brings me joy while I cook and bake during this busy time of year.

I enjoy the busy but I am sure glad I had our house decorated early. So much has gone on since the last time we really had a chance to chat. A visit to Colorado to see Family and a little bit of snow happened a while back.

Rocky Mountain National Park with cloud cover.
We got to see some snow!

Because we had a rental car… we were not permitted to go deep into the park as only 4 wheel drive vehicles could. But that was okay. We saw lots of beauty around every bend going and coming from the park.

We did see real Bighorns but they were not close enough to get a picture… so this will have to do. 😊
The scent of pine was everywhere!

On the way home we saw more snow and more mountains…

Our very own Humphreys Peak in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Then when we got home we both felt under the weather… this is not a good time to get sick. So when you are forced to slow down… seeing the Christmas lights and decorations soothes me. The coziness of the season wraps me up like a warm blanket.

Christmas all aglow.

The sweet memories of Christmas past come to me while I look at the ornaments on the tree.

An ornament from my sister.
An ornament from my mother.
An ornament we bought together in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
This ornament is homemade from Shutterfly. Here you can see Christmas gifts given to me from my boys when they were much younger. These actual gifts are displayed year round at the LakeHouse! So the sweet memory of these gifts are displayed here in AZ on our tree!
❤️❤️❤️

So as you can see the Coziness of the Season is in our Home and She Shed. Even if I am in the business of the Holidays… I do stop and enjoy the moment.

Peppermint Hot Cocoa in a Vintage Santa Cup is the best way to slow down and enjoy the Christmas Moments!

Even though we may be under the weather it doesn’t stop me from baking some cookies for ourselves!

🎅🎄❤️🎄🎅
These are my favorite ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas Books.
🍪Delicious Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies! 🍪

Thank You!

As I always try to convey… we sure do appreciate all of you. Thank you for joining us for another Tuesday Tidbits.

❤️🎄❤️

Thank you for the Visit!

Wishing all of you a wonderful week ahead. Enjoy what December brings to you this upcoming week.

Whatever you have planned… make every day count and make sure to slow down and enjoy the special Christmas Moments.

  1. Sincerely hope you are both feeling better. I’m into the second week and am feeling better except the coughing seems to stay behind. Your home and shed look gorgeous, and I can imagine it perks you right up to enjoy those lovely decorations. Enjoy your baking and shopping.

  2. Nancy, these are wonderful pictures as always! Thank you for sharing them.
I hope you and Bob feel better real soon! Ariel

  3. I’m sorry you haven’t been feeling well Nancy, but you certainly have gotten a lot done! Your She Shed looks very festive and yes, treasured ornaments can bring back so many memories. So nice to visit family at this time…take care and enjoy those hot cocoa moments!

  4. I hope by now you are feeling much better and will continue to be fit as fiddles for the holidays. So lovely to see Humphries Peak — I have family in Flagstaff and I love seeing photos from the region. It reminds me of them! Your home is gorgeous. I would move into your She Shed in a heartbeat — it’s absolutely charming. Warm, whimsical, fun, and just delightful. Your tree inside the house is so pretty and I love seeing and hearing about the ornaments. And those cookies look delicious, especially at that charming table. Enjoy every second.

And thank you so much for visiting Marmelade Gypsy. I always love seeing your lovely comments. Merriest!

  5. It’s not nice feeling unwell at any time, and I (too) hope you are feeling better, Miss Nancy. I do love seeing your She Shed all decked out 🎄. Can you believe the Australian alpine region had snow on December 5 and could possibly have received more overnight? It’s weird for us at this time of the year, but not completely unheard of.

  6. Merry Tuesday, Nancy. I will take a home baked chocolate chip cookie. The she shed is very festive and fun. I love the corner cabinet and shelves all decorated in merry and bright colors. It would be magical to sit at the lovely table and eat a cookie and enjoy conversation. I love the mountain photos, beautiful! I hope y’all feel better soon. Take care and get plenty of rest 🎄♥️

  7. I had lots of smiles as I viewed your post today. I don’t think you can enjoy too many Christmas decorations! Your she shed is beyond seasonally cute. I am glad you are feeling better. It is hard to be sick when you have so much you want to do. Your CO pictures are lovely. I’m glad you got there and back safely. Snow is always a possibility in Colorado. Blessings for a wonderful week of Christmas preparations.

  8. Beautifully appointed memories strewn throughout! The She Shed is such a delightful spot. I most especially loved the red she-boots near the cupboard. (FYI: Your posts dropped from my Reader-feed for some reason again. However, I am catching up on all the goodness you’ve shared today!) Hugsssss!!
