Tuesday Tidbits #218 Hello Spring

Welcome Spring!

It’s been an unusual winter here in Arizona. A longer winter then I have ever experienced… with more rain and cooler temperatures. But this is the best combination for Wildflowers to bloom in the desert. These wild blooms have been longing to burst on the scene and just in time for Spring! There are many to take pleasure in!

This spring, Arizona has been blanketed in yellow poppies and many other wildflowers!
We love seeing the wildflowers in the desert.

We enjoyed seeing this little one. Quite interesting!
If there’s a will… there’s a way!
Pinks, purples, blues and yellows dot the desert landscape.
And orange colors too!

Desert Gardens

I saw this front yard, full of flowers, on my walk the other day.
Our rose garden is seeing its first blooms of the season. Here we have a beautiful Peace Rose.
The birds are enjoying Spring in our backyard gardens!
Even the bunny is enjoying our Spring gardens! 😆
The birds and the…
Bees!
Here we have a happy bee!

A Desert Ride

Sweet Man made sure to take me for a desert ride. It really is the only way to see the wide variety of Wildflowers.

We drove this trail all the way to the top.

Lupines in the foreground.

This rock was too big to bring home to put in our Spring Gardens. It was a beauty!

I know that Spring has not sprung yet for some of you. It’s coming, it really is!

    1. Today those poppies are getting another dose of rain. Like I said… it’s been a strange weather pattern here.
However, in a few days they will be back open …shining under the sun.
I’m glad you enjoyed! Happy Tuesday!

  1. Beautiful photos! Can’t wait until we get a bit of color in my neck of the woods. Yesterday was the first day of spring, and to celebrate, Mother Nature sent us more snow, haha. I’ll try to take your advice and live like it’s spring despite the forecast! Sounds like a great plan! Take care and have a terrific day.

  2. I always love seeing your photos, Miss Nancy and youve shared such beautiful photos to mark the change of the season in your part of the world – especially those poppies 💛🧡. Over here we’ve been lucky enough to have a (final) blast of summer heat to mark the beginning of Autum (Fall) but it was so delightful to have a cooler day yesterday – I was able to get into my garden and do a bit of much needed work. Happy Tuesday to you and your Sweet Man 🥰

  3. The first image of the yellow poppies is stunning! The desert wildflowers are so beautiful and diverse, love the lupines! Nancy, your peace rose is perfection, such an amazing burst of color! Those desert rides you and Sweet Man take make me wish I could ride along with you. The next best things is a virtual trip with you all!

    Happy Tuesday and Happy Spring!

    1. Our rides are always fun! Glad you can come along. The Peace Rose was perfect! I was so happy to see it bloom.
Thank you so much for enjoying our AZ wildflowers. Your sweet comments are always so appreciated.
Enjoy the rest of your week!

  4. The desert is certainly in beautiful, colorful bloom! I love that quote. It works well right now as in Oklahoma and many other places we are experiencing lots of types of weather in one day. We woke to a little rain. At lunch time we were blown into a Pho restaurant and had some warming soup. By mid afternoon, the clouds had moved on and the sunshine was out. Thanks for sharing your beautiful pictures and Happy Spring!

    1. The weather has been strange all over the nation. But I was happy to share our beautiful AZ wildflowers with you. They make us all smile.
      Happy Tuesday my friend!

  5. So many beautiful flowers!! I love the yellow poppies! And I love the garden on your walk with the crazy cactus! So much eye candy, thank you Nancy!

  6. Nancy, it was such a joy to see all of the beautiful blooms! Thanks so much for sharing them with us. I hope you have a wonderful week, sweet friend!

  7. Those are some gorgeous spring photos. Wildflowers in bloom are the most exquisite flowers there are in my opinion. That multicoloured rock is fabulous. Too bad it was too big to bring home, but you can always come back and admire it? Perhaps?
Enjoy spring ! I can’t experience it in person yet, but I do enjoy your photos. Thank you for sharing.

    1. It’s so good to hear from you! I’m so glad you enjoyed the flowers here. You will have spring arriving soon.
      Happy Sunday!

  8. I love that the wildflowers truly know they can grow where they are planted. Like you I get such a kick out of them in crevices. It has been a beautiful spring. The rock was a great find, too bad it could find its way home with you. Great capture of the hummingbird. The owls cover flowers are my favorite.

  9. Beautiful blooms, Nancy! Flowers were just beginning to open prior to our departure. In the meantime, something else took root and bloomed for us there…..stay tuned.😉
