Hello Tuesday Friends!
Can you believe we are saying goodbye to June and are headed for July?

Do you decorate for the Fourth of July? I do not do much. I will add a few flags to the front yard and red, white, and blue pillows to the outdoor chairs.
Patriotic Tablescape
I don’t have much patriotic decor and try to use whatever I have. I did enjoy making a tablescape for the 4th of July.

4th of July Dessert
I may be making this delicious dessert again for a 4th of July get together. It was a hit a few years ago when I made it and it sure does look pretty and festive.

I layered Vanilla Pound cake, vanilla mouse, blueberries and strawberries. I then frosted with cool whip.
The vanilla mousse is made by combining a quart of heavy whipping cream and two small packages of instant vanilla pudding. Whip the mixture until stiff peaks form. Then I just layered the fruit, pound cake, and mousse.

Summer Checklist
You will be happy to know that I went kayaking twice this past week and enjoyed every minute! I ventured into the inlet area of the lake. It’s thick with lily pads and other lake plants. Two huge fish swam by which was exciting! They most likely were carp.

We went boating on our pontoon as well, which is always an adventure. And with that, we saw a loon on the lake. We love seeing loons! It most likely was migrating north and stopped off to get a bite to eat. This lake is a rest area for migrating lake birds, ducks, and geese. The Loon was diving continuously, so I did not get a picture. But here is what a Loon looks like.

I am slowly checking off my Summer Fun activities. This week I want to go to our local Ice Cream place where we drive up and order. It’s a favorite place from my childhood! I plan on a chocolate-covered ice cream cone. What a treat it will be! I’ll make sure to share a picture with you next week!
What’s Blooming
Our gardens are an abundance of joy with ever changing blooms.

It’s always good to have you stop by to see what’s new.
Thank You!
As I always try to convey… we certainly appreciate all of you. Thank you for joining us for another Tuesday Tidbits.
We wish all of you a wonderful week ahead. Enjoy what this upcoming week brings to you. And whatever you have planned… make every day count and be thankful for your Blessings.

Our flowers this week are for the Sunday Stills photo challenge – The Glowing Life of Plants.

Kris 💕
We enjoyed meeting you as well at such a lovely occasion.
Thank you so much for visiting our blog!
Have a wonderful 4th of July weekend.
Absolutely beautiful week in your neighborhood. Your flowers are lovely, and the lake is beautiful. Your table decorations always make me smile because you are an expert at getting them just right. I envision you having a huge pantry full of colorful dishes and linens that you pull out for each holiday. Your dessert also gave me ideas for the coming holiday so thank you. Happy Tuesday!
You are always so kind! Thank you!
I do like plates and tea towels… LOL!
The Trifle (the dessert) is delightful!
Happy Tuesday, Judy!
Here comes July indeed, Nance! Love your photos to close June. We will celebrate with a family night Friday at the baseball game, with fireworks closing the night. And our house’s location provides great views of several firework displays around the area on the Fourth itself!
4th of July Fun with the family! Sounds perfect to me! Happy Tuesday!
My mother had a set of those blue dishes when I was a kid. I remember she bought a plate a week at the grocery store until she had 10. Every now and then, I’ll see one at the flea markets and wonder what happened to those dishes.
I bought mine at a garage sale along with a few bigger ones. Some hang in our bedroom around my dresser mirror. Your Mother had great taste!
Wonderful memories for you and Thank you for sharing them with me.
💕
Nancy, I love seeing your beautiful flowers this morning! Enjoy the rest of your week!
Thank you Beth! And I love hearing from you this morning! Have a great week!
Good morning, Nancy. I love your red, white, and blue tablescape. The trifle looks delicious and a perfect dessert for the 4th. I am so glad you went out in your purple kayak. Lake life must be glorious. Your blooms are amazing, love the pink yarrow! Happy Tuesday!
The pink yarrow is from my Mom yet. Some froze this past winter so I am giving this TLC!
I always think of you when I set my table with some pretties! Thank you always for your sweet words! Happy Tuesday!
Good morning, Nancy! Your patriotic tablescape is beautiful! That dessert looks both pretty and scrumptious. I would love to have some with my tea this morning. All of your garden blooms are gorgeous, and I always enjoy reading about your adventures. Have a wonderful week, sweet friend!
Good Morning Shannon! So good to hear from you! It’s been a while.
Thanks for all the love. Enjoy your week dear one!
Love your tablescape…mixing patterns is something I love to do but I certainly don’t have your skills, Nancy! Thanks for the inspiration. 😘
Oh Victoria how kind of you! I love mixing patterns at the table and somehow it all comes together.
The dessert is delicious!

You, too – you, too! 🥰
Lovely photos Nancy, are all the blooms in your garden are amazing! Good job on the flag glasses, they look great in your red, white and blue tablescape! I’m so glad you enjoyed much lake time, those lily pads are gorgeous! Summer is flying by so fast, thanks for reminding us to enjoy every minute, and an ice cream cone sounds like just the way to do that!
I can’t wait to have that ice cream cone!
Thanks for the love today! And you know I always think of you when I paint glassware!
Have a great week, Jenna.
Beautiful place setting, 4th desert and flowers. Have a great 4th of July weekend.
Thanks so much Tim! And the same to you!
Thank you for sharing all your beautiful blooms. Nothing better than time on the lake and listening to the sounds of loons or paddling through the lovely lily pads. Enjoy your 4th!
THank you Ingrid. I know you have heard the loons in Wisconsin. They are so beautiful to hear and see.
Enjoy your 4th of July weekend!
I LOVE your 4th of July table décor, Nancy! For someone who doesn’t decorate for it much, your table looks amazing, from the flowers to the details in the glasses and décor. It is weird to be saying goodbye to June already, yikes! Glad to read you got our on your kayak too, looks like fun (I need to get out the SUP and get busy). It’s great to see your post shared for Sunday Stills this week!
I had to read your directions on how to do it! So when I accomplished the sharing I was quite pleased!
I am happy you enjoyed the tablescape. Playing with dishes makes me happy!
Happy 4th of July weekend to you!
How festive! You’re set for the 4th. As always, thanks for the inspiration. Take care!
Thank you for visiting and enjoying! Happy 4th of July weekend to you!
I don’t do much for fourth of July either. I love red. Love Blue. White’s fine. But I hate the combo together. Go figure! But your table is so pretty. Love the table runner and flowers — it’s just so darned happy!
Thank you, Jeanie. I love happy! So glad you enjoyed. Happy weekend to you!
I can’t get over it being July this weekend already! And that trifle looks tasty. We use gelatin when making mousse.
That sounds tasty. And yes… July???
I can’t get enough of your beautiful flower pictures. I’m glad you are enjoying the lake. Please save some of your Fourth of July dessert for me, and I’ll join you on getting that ice cream cone.😉
I’m so glad you enjoy the flowers! There’s just something about flower therapy.
Looking forward to the cone. I’ve been so good about watching our sweets, but darn… it’s time for a summertime treat!
Thanks for stopping by.
Looks like you are ready for a lovely July 4th celebration! Thanks for the colorful inspiration!
You are very welcome. And thank you for enjoying it right along with us. Happy 4th of July weekend!
I like your table layout, and I LOVE that dessert! I’m thinking of coming by. 😉😉
We will save you some!
What a glorious close to June. Beautiful flowers, kayak ride and trifle. Whats not to love. Have a great beginning to July
Thank you so much Kari! And I wish for you to have a glorious start to July!
Your beautiful tables cape just exudes Americana and the trifle, oh my! Do they shoot fireworks over that gorgeous lake?
Many moons ago, when I was younger and growing up in this adorable town, they shot fireworks over the lake. However, the whole weekend they have events to go to, and then it culminates at a fireworks display down at the University with food trucks, etc. It’s even better!
Although, many private fireworks get displayed over the lake which makes it quite fun on other evenings of the 4th of July weekend.
Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoying. Have a beautiful 4th of July weekend!
Happy, happy, happy, Nancy, are your posts! ❤️
And I am happy, happy, happy when you come to visit! Happy 4th of July weekend to you!
