Tuesday Tidbits #120 Fun in the Sun!

Warmer weather… Sunshine and No Jackets! That’s what makes me smile! Hello All!

Our Backyard Desert Oasis!

Hope all of you are doing well. March was a strange weather month here in the desert. It was much colder then usual and the sun hid a bit more then it should. However, March is going out like a lamb. The temperatures are now perfect! The flowers and cacti are blooming, the sun is shining and our Arizona blue skies are showing off. That just makes me and pretty much everyone one else around here in the Valley of the Sun …Happy Campers! Springtime here in the desert is our most favorite time to be here.

The bees are just as happy as us! I wish you could smell the fragrance of these Orange Blossoms.

With Spring comes cactus blooms.

Just bloomed this morning.

We seem to be lingering a bit longer in our gardens.

Along with this color… I had to add some Easter color to the back patio.

I’m just loving my new trinket box.

And the She Shed got some Easter Love as well!

A dear friend added to my Easter Decor with that lovely plate.

With warm weather comes special friends for a visit. We spent the day in Jerome, Arizona. Always a fun place to visit.

The views from Jerome are incredible! From afar…
…and up close.

I squealed with delight when I saw some Forsythia in bloom! We don’t have it down in the Valley. When I saw it …I wondered if the Forsythia at the LakeHouse was blooming yet?

A trip to Jerome would never be complete without seeing the Glass Blower. Do you remember my Wine Goblets that we purchased from him? Click here to see the post about my Wine Goblets and the Jerome Glass Blower.

It was great watching Tracy Weisel show us his art!

Tracy Weisel is the Glass Blower in Jerome.

After a fun filled day we returned home and it was pretty wonderful to see more roses blooming.

And if it can’t get any better…

Look at what else is blooming again!

My amaryllis!

We are feeling quite blessed to be living here in our Arizona Paradise! Thank you for visiting and taking the time out of your day to follow along. And wishing all of you beautiful days in your Paradise!

Unfortunately, I Was Too Late to Buy the “House of Joy”. It had just been sold.

  4. Your little oasis is looking more like a little slice of heaven, Nancy. I was thinking of you the other day, wondering what type of easter decorations were being laid out 🥰🐰🐣

    1. Not as many decorations as in the past. Easter snuck up on me!
I’m so glad you thought of me… and am so glad you popped over for a visit.

  5. Nancy, spring is looking fabulous at your beautiful home and garden. Love all the stunning blooms. The she shed looks like the perfect place for a cupcake and to sit in your garden would be delightful. I remember visiting Jerome when we were in Arizona, it was most I terest8ng!

    1. Hello Dear Pam!
Yes… Jerome is quite the unique destination. It’s why I like it so much!
I think of you often when I make a tablescape or sit in my gardens.

  6. This is all fantastic, Nancy. Love all the blooms — so pretty. Your desert is definitely in spring mode! But so is your home. Wild about your pretty Easter basket and all the holiday touches. I was in Jerome years ago — I have a cookbook from there!

    1. Good afternoon! So glad to hear that you have been to Jerome. It’s in the mountains and we live in the valley …so when we go there it’s fun to see the different kinds of vegetation.
Thank you for the visit! Have a wonderful Easter my friend!

  7. Gorgeous yard, Nancy! Love all your flowers. We have little to no blooms here in the Mojave Desert. We have been so dry this winter. The desert still looks dead. It’s so sad. But your cactus are beautiful!

    1. We have had few wildflowers here in the Sonoran desert. Very dry indeed. But the cacti are perking up with their blooms.
Thank you for your lovely words my friend. Have a beautiful week!

    1. I’m glad you enjoyed the flowers and the bunny, Chris. Thank you for the visit my friend. Wishing you a lovely week.

  8. Such a happy post. Love seeing all the vibrant shades of spring in the desert. We saw our first tiny purple crocus bloom this week. We also saw some
    Snow today but there’s hope!

  9. I love when you post pics of flowering cacti Nancy, my favorite! You have so many cool places to explore on day trips, and I remember drooling over your hand blown goblets when you shared them before. Seeing the bright yellow blooms of forsythia always brings a smile to my face because they are one of the first signs that Spring is here! Your Easter decor looks really cute…I’m trying to decide if I should put mine away today or leave the bunnies out for a while…Have a great week!
