Tuesday Tidbits #228 Lake Living

Calm!

Back at the Lake

It feels good to be back at this beautiful lake. As I stand here, cool breezes rustle the leaves, birds sing, and geese swim by with their goslings. In the distance, I hear someone starting their boat. Perhaps they are headed out for a ride—Lake living at its finest.

I hope your Memorial Day Weekend was fun. We had fun with friends. And we remembered those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙🇺🇸

Yardwork

We’ve been back a week and we have been very busy with yard work. I can say I have pulled all the weeds except for one of the gardens.

My mother planted these Forget Me Nots over 55+ years ago. I’m always happy to see them until they take over every nook and cranny of the yard. I spent two days weeding them out. Don’t worry… they re -seed and come back every year in full force!

The front yard is done, and I added hanging flowers, but I need to get some for the backyard.

I’m enjoying this variety of this variety of supertunias.

Rhododendrons

Our rhododendrons are spectacular this year!

🩷🌿🩷

I enjoy the different stages of a rhododendron.

Many various bloom stages.
The bees, like the Rhodies in full bloom.

Down at the Lake

At the lake, beautiful flowers grow.

Internet Problems

We are experiencing internet problems. This week we are hoping to get another provider. I will try to get caught up with all of you soon. In the meantime I am hoping that my post uploads without any problems.

Thank You

As I always try to convey… we sure do appreciate all of you. Thank you for joining us for another Tuesday Tidbits.

We are seeing robins again!

Wishing all of you a wonderful week ahead. Enjoy what this upcoming week brings to you. And whatever you have planned… make every day count and be thankful for your Blessings.

  2. Hi Nancy, I know you’re happy to be back at the lake! Just curious, do you fly or drive? There is nothing that beats a water view, especially in the summer! I know there must be a lot of work when you get there, but your flowers are thriving! I hope you get your internet issue resolved quickly. We just got new and faster service at both houses and it makes a big difference. Happy Summer!

    1. The weather has been perfect to return to. Thank you for the Welcome Back, and I, too, wish for you to have a glorious summer!

  4. Nancy, lake life looks and sounds awesome! The forget me nots remind me of the Spode plates I used today. Poppies, irises, and rhodies are all stunning as are the beautiful lake anytime of day. I feel the pain of weeding, but doesn’t it feel good to finish it? Of course we know, that only lasts a short time. Wishing you a beautiful day!

    1. I agree after you see a garden free of weeds, it does feel good.
I thought the same when I saw your table setting of your Spode Plates.
Thanks for all the love! Have a wonderful week!

  5. Lake life looks amazing, Nancy! Gorgeous pics of a very inviting lake at all times of day. Sorry I may be dense, is this a second home of yours or visiting for the summer? Enjoy!

    1. Thank you, Terri. This is our summer home. It is my childhood home which we have made our own. This place has my heart!

    1. It sure is a lovely place! We enjoy coming here so very much. Our home here is my childhood home, making it even more special!
Thank you so much for enjoying, and I hope you can return for more. It’s going to be a great summer!
      Happy day to you!

  6. It took me aback that you were discussing your lake time. Then I realized that indeed I had changed over to my cooler house a few weeks ago. I find the change from one area to the other a little disconcerting, but I do like both places. And I enjoy hearing about both of your homes. I hope your Internet problems settle down. We experience that in rural NM mountains too.

  7. best of east and west life!!! Glad you have salvaged and appreciate all the beautiful flowers that your mother must have loved. 😊❤️

  8. Hi Nancy, Your flowers and lake are gorgeous! Do you have someone to take care of both places when you are gone? Your AZ place always looks fabulous too. I just planted flowers last week finally in Prescott. I don’t have any thing in Scottsdale that needs watering!

  9. I’m glad to see you back in PA! Rick has opened our cottage but I can’t get up till later in June. It’s in the 90s here today so seeing your open water is making me smile. Big.

  10. Glad to see you back in the cooler half of our U.S.A., Nance. Your PA gardens look spectacular. Happy June to you and the Sweet Man, my friend.

  11. You don’t ever need a vacation when you have this beautiful place! Your flowers always look so beautiful. I didn’t realize Forget Me Nots were so invasive

  12. I love that your mom planted forget-me- nots. They can be work, but they serve their purpose. #rememberme. The lake views are indeed calm, and inviting. It must be nice to always reconnect with friends back there and when you return to AZ. The best of both worlds. Love what you did with the first image.

Thank You So Much... for sharing your kind words. I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy schedule to share your thoughts.
