Tuesday Tidbits #268 Flower Therapy

My Morning Stroll

Our rose garden.

Most mornings, I take a moment to appreciate the beauty around me. As I sip my hot tea, I stroll through the gardens and soak in the vibrant colors of nature – from the lively songs of Yellow Goldfinches at the feeder to the coo of Mourning Doves and the shrill of the male Gambel’s Quail calling for his mate.

As I strolled through the garden, I couldn’t help but notice the beauty of the newly blossomed flowers. The roses, in full bloom or the tightly closed rosebuds, are such a sight to behold.

🍃💛🍃

Even the hedgehog cactus, with its thorns, is showing off its delicate petals. It’s heartwarming to witness nature’s splendor in all its glory.

Flower Therapy

I understand that spending time in the garden is a beautiful way to soothe our minds. As I have mentioned before, it is indeed a therapeutic experience that brings immense joy and peace to my being.

I shared this same photo back in April of 2020. Our garden was our happy place during the pandemic.

Flowers in our Decor

I love to bring flowers into our home. They have the power to bring a sense of joy and vibrancy to any room. Adding them to a space can really enhance its appearance and bring in a touch of elegance.

Desert Wildflowers

The arrival of spring in our Desert Gardens, as well as the Desert Landscape, brings us pleasure. I hope that viewing the beauty of nature and our desert flowers helps to uplift your spirits and inspire you.

    1. Thanks for enjoying, Judy.
Our oasis is mostly made up of cacti along with lantana, bougainvillea, and roses. Hardy plants. We have a house sitter that stays and watches over… including our gardens as well.
Thanks for enjoying our Spring in the desert!

  1. Beautiful spring flowers and birds. Your arrangements and center pieces are lovely.

  2. Nancy, it is pouring rain this morning and a walk in your garden is sheer delight! The yellow roses are stunning. I have never had success growing roses, but I will enjoy seeing yours! The cacti blooms always amaze me. Of course, I love seeing your beautiful home decorated for the seasons. I have enjoyed having my morning coffee as I walked in your garden and was invited in your lovely home. Happy Tuesday, my friend!

  5. Happy Tuesday, my friend! I’m strolling along with with my coffee mug in hand gawking at your beautiful pics! Amazing to see the cactus flowers in your garden, as well as the desert wildflowers. I just love the image of the lupine and poppies together. Therapy indeed. Another season where the desert got abundant rain. Your home decor is always so beautiful to see. Wow, that tea cart! ❤️😲 I’m so glad to see your post. Here in Portland, we have tickets to visit the Wooden Shoe Tulip farm tomorrow. Flowers are therapy!

  6. Nancy, even though I am a day late in visiting your garden with you…I so enjoyed the belated visit. God is amazing in His creations isn’t He? The birds and flowers just made my day. Your home is a reflection of you and so lovely. Thank you for all the reminders of my high mountain desert gardens I left behind in New Mexico. I felt I was right back there among the blooming cacti. Hugs my friend

    1. Oh, Kari, you made my day. I am so glad you enjoyed our gardens today and that they brought you sweet memories.
Thank you for such a lovely comment.
Enjoy the rest of the week, my friend.

  7. Nature’s splendor, indeed. I think what I love so much about the natural Arizona is with every season there is a flower, some kind of flower. It is such a delicate and fragile environment and it continues to amaze me over and over again. Beautiful photos, Nancy.

  8. Your flowers look fabulous, Miss Nancy – both inside your house and outside in your garden. I’ve missed the summer flowers in my garden, due to all the rain we’ve had, those I’d planted drowned 🥲 but the ground is now starting to dry out (a little) and now I can plant to plant some for the coming cooler weather.

    1. Thank you, Clare.
I am so sorry to hear your flowers drowned. Gardening is not for the Faint of Heart.
      Have a wonderful weekend.
      Happy Planting.

      1. It’s been a very weird summer with little colour to brighten the garden, but . . . there’s a change in the air 🥰
