Tuesday Tidbits #300 Wow! 300!

Hello Folks!

Wow! I can’t believe I have posted 300 Tuesday Tidbits! That’s a lot of Tidbits! I’m excited to share that I only need to write 12 more posts, and I’ll celebrate six wonderful years of writing Tuesday Tidbits! 🎉 I’ve loved sharing bits and pieces with you, and I plan to continue.

Busy Week

It feels great to be back with the saguaros again!

Although, we have been busy. Unpacking, grocery shopping, cleaning and gardening have been our middle name.

Back Patio

As you can see the back yard is in fine shape after the hot summer.

I’ve been enjoying cozy mornings by the fire with a warm cup of tea. The temperatures have been cool enough to do so. It’s become a little ritual for me that I look forward to each day!

The Gardens

The gardens did okay in the hot summer heat! However, my roses seem a bit stressed, with just two doing well. They all need some extra love and tender care. I trimmed them back and fertilized them. Now, I wait and hope for the best.

These roses welcomed me home.

The lantana is ready to bloom again. I love the happy yellow.

We have several of these lush plants called Elephant Bush or dwarfed Jade plant. They made it through the summer and flourished beautifully!

The bottom branches of many of our agaves have died, so I have been slowly trimming them back. We have numerous agaves that need to be trimmed. Each dead branch must be cut with a sharp hand clipper. This star agave is in excellent shape.

A Lovely Afternoon

I had such a delightful afternoon with our neighbors! Our wonderful friend, Mary, organized a get-together to welcome back Esther, who used to live next door before moving away. Seeing her again and catching up was lovely—what a great time we had!

Mary decorates her home so beautifully for the seasons.

I love how she took a vintage sewing machine drawer and added coffee mugs!

Thank you, Mary, for a lovely afternoon of fun and friendship!

Thank You

That’s it for this week. Our November days are moving quickly. I hope you are trying to find little pleasures to brighten each of your days.

I am working on catching up with you all. Thank you for your patience.

As I always try to convey… we sure do appreciate all of you. Thank you for joining us for another Tuesday Tidbits.

We are wishing all of you a wonderful week ahead. Enjoy what this upcoming week brings to you. And whatever you have planned… make every day count and be thankful for your Blessings.

  1. What a change in foliage from PA to AZ! Both beautiful. And you must be in great order to be able to not only be home a short time but to get decorated AND gather with friends! It all looks wonderful.

  2. Good morning, Nancy! Congratulations on 300 tidbits! I always enjoy reading them each week. Your outdoor space looks beautiful. The fire pit makes a lovely spot to enjoy your morning tea. Wishing you a blessed week ahead!

  3. Congratulations on 600 Tidbits! 🎉 I have been here for all of them. I remember well the story of your father and how your Tidbits began. I am happy you arrived safely back in AZ. I can imagine all of the chores after being gone so long. Does someone see after your garden while you are away? How sweet of Mary to have you all. Happy Tuesday, my friend!

    1. Thank you Pam!
And thank you for remembering that my Tidbits started in honor of my Dad. 🥰
We do have someone house sit and watch the gardens but the heat was horrible this past summer and many plants are stressed.
Thanks for all the love my friend.

  4. Congrats on your Tuesday Tidbits anniversary. It’s not always easy maintaining a blogging schedule and a busy life. Your yard held up well despite the ridiculously hot summer we endured. I lost a yellow bell despite being vigilant caring for it. One did well, the other did not. Welcome back to the valley!

  5. I’m glad you’re happily back in your beautiful Arizona home Nancy! Your patio and garden are so pretty, what a wonderful place to linger and enjoy. Your roses are beautiful! Congrats on #300 tidbits!

  6. Nancy, I can remember when you decided too do your Tuesday Tidbits…and what a delight it has been. Wonderful decision. Perhaps you should revisit that post to see how far you have come. So glad your plants have survived and I am sure your TLC will bring them back to the glorious beauty they have been. Do you have someone to care for your gardens while you are in your lakeside home? I can’t wait til we are back in Florida and I can tend to my Secret Garden. We do have a lawn care team who tend to our garden(s) year round and we are able to look at our cameras to see everything live…. but I still need to be up close and personal. Have a wonderful winter in Arizona. hugs

    1. Thank you so much for remembering when I started with Tuesday Tidbits. It was dedicated to him.
We do have someone look after the gardens and place. But the summer heat was horrible this past summer. Many plants died or were extremely stressed.
Thank you for always stopping by with such lovely comments.🌵☀️

  7. Oh Miss Nancy – Congratulations on 300 Tuesday Tidbits 🥳 🥂🍾 what an incredible feat you’ve accomplished. Well done and please keep updating us on what you’ve been doing – I love catching up with you on my Wednesday mornings and seeing all your gorgeous photos (including those of that fabulous patio). My Wednesday morning would not be the same without you.

  8. Hi Nancy, Congratulations on 300 posts! I bet you’re glad to be back and enjoying a change of scenery and climate. I’m amazed your landscaping and plants can survive and thrive in the summer heat. Your patio looks like a wonderful spot to enjoy a cup of tea or cocktail and I know it must have been fun catching up with friends. Happy Tuesday ♥

    1. Thank you so much for your sweet comments, Mary.
We do enjoy our patio as it is an extension to our home.
We are glad to be back.
      Thanks for all the love!

  9. Lovely post, Nancy! How nice to get together with neighbors in the midst of settling back in. I have a gardening question for you. Do you have a drip watering system to keep things alive while you are gone or do you have someone come in to water for you?

    1. We have a drip watering system. But we also have desert plants that can tolerate less water and sun. But this past summer was brutal.
Thank you so much for stopping by and thanks for your sweet comments.

  10. Congratulations on No. 300 with Tuesday Tidbits, Nance. I have been thrilled to be along on this ride! As for arriving in AZ to find stressed roses, I’m banking on the fact that your attention will go a long way to their springing back to best health!

  11. Welcome home! What an accomplishment, 300 Tuesday Tidbits! I can’t wait for the next 300 Nancy! Your back yard is so pretty and it looks relaxing, especially having coffee and a fire. Your neighbors decorations looked very pretty.

Thank You So Much... for sharing your kind words. I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy schedule to share your thoughts.
