Tuesday Tidbits #394 October is Starting to Put on a Show

Hello Friends!

Tuesday is here again! It’s been a wonderful October week here at the lake. We had family visiting, including some special time with our little grandson, so we didn’t have much time for anything else. And honestly, that’s just fine with me. I did cook up a storm, though. It was all so delicious.

Turkey Rolls and Cranberry Sauce.

I missed my sister and brother-in-law. They have left for Florida for the winter. The last time we were together, I shed a few tears. Ya know, as we get older, we appreciate our time together so much more. Isn’t that the truth?

Sunrise

We had another beautiful sunrise from the kitchen window this week.

I am so glad that tree is gone! IYKYK!

October’s Colors

The fall colors are really putting on a show, with shades of gold, orange, and red popping up all around the area. I’ve been snapping pictures whenever I can, and I thought I’d share some of that autumn beauty with you.

Many of the cornfields have been harvested and cut.
Some are still hanging on!

The trees are putting on their annual show. Mother Nature certainly knows how to put on a grand finale.

A bittersweet final day out on the water for the season.

All the boats are gone.

Well, not all of them!

Seasons Come and Go

There’s always a little sadness when we take the boat out for the season and see fewer boats at their docks. It’s a reminder that another summer has faded away. But that’s the thing about living by the lake— just when one season ends, another begins.

The trees are putting on their colorful show; the air is crisp (even though today it’s going to be in the 80s), and there are still plenty of beautiful days to enjoy. We have summer memories to tuck away and a whole new season to take in.

I had to sneak in my favorite tree!

So, instead of dwelling on what’s ending, I’m going to enjoy what’s right in front of me. After all, October has its own kind of magic, and I don’t want to miss a minute of it!

Here’s what’s in front of me!

Thank You

That’s a Wrap! Some weeks are filled with projects or adventures. Others are filled with family, laughter, and memories being made. That’s what we had and I would not want it any other way.

Thanks for reading another Tuesday Tidbits. I wish for you to have a wonderful week ahead.
