Here is the Sunflower in all its glory! This sunflower sprouted in the strangest of places.
Yes, this is the same flower! Here it is loving it’s little spot between the house wall and front walkway. A little patch of ground but just enough for this sunflower. It survived being eaten by a bird and now it survived in this little spot. It’s not real tall as the bird planted it when the days are not quite long enough with full sun.
What version do you like better? Yesterday’s black and white? Today’s color shot? Or both?
Until Next Time ~Nancy
I have some of sunflowers that have sprouted around the base of my bird feeder. None of them have ever looked as beautiful as this one!
Your words are so kind! We have had several in the back yard get quite tall. Just fun to watch them come to fruition!
Oh isn’t this one a stunner. A beautiful flash of warmth this winter morning.
Thank You! Oh, but did you see yesterday’s? A black and white version…
I have bird planted sunflowers in Ohio. They turn out so beautiful, even more so than the ones I try to plant good job on photos.
Thank You sister friend. I love these sunflowers that pop up from the birds!
Did you take the poll?
I like both. This morning, I need some colors. 🙂
Great micro images!
Thank You So Much for participating. And yes we always need a little color once in a while!
Thank You for Participating!
I like the B&W because it is more mysterious, more dynamic, and more representative of flowers in general — it’s not just another sunflower when it’s in B&W.
Well said… new friend Tim!
Thank You For Participating!
The colour is so happy making😊. Isn’t nature determined to survive? Lovely gift to your garden.
How well said… “isn’t nature determined to survive!” Love it!
I forgot about that little guy growing next to the garage and it actually bloomed in January. How strange and beautiful.
You took the words right out of my mouth! “Strange and beautiful!”
Well, that is one good reason for birdies 😉 And a pretty one at that!
Yes indeed! Love our little birdies!
Gee, Nancy, you made the voting tough. But I found the B&W so different that I had to choose it. What an interesting place for that adorable sunflower to begin its life:)
I am leaning toward the black and white as well… only because so many dynamics of the flower pop in black and white.
And a friend said this… isn’t nature wonderful on how determined it is to survive! Thnaks for participating!
My wildflowers in Arizona would come up in the strangest places, including between the driveway and the garage.
Bingo! Almost the same thing has happened here!
Well I had to go for that vivid yellow, especially since I’m surrounded by snow and winter monochromes here in Minnesota. I loved seeing that pop of sun embedded in the concrete. And a big YAY for your first poll. What fun!
And YOU were my teacher!!! Thanks for telling me how to do the poll!
Stay warm!
Hearing you say that means so much to me, as I’m embarking on a side venture involving being an educator. 🙂
Awesome! I was an educator in early childhood. I loved it!
Well I did like the black and white but I love this coloured one more!
Thank you for having fun over here at Two Trails One Road. I am just enjoying the fact that we have a sunflower growing in JANUARY!
Both images are awesome, Nancy! Well captured!
Thank You So Much for your kind words! The sunflower is a favorite of mine.
I like both versions. They both have things to like about them. I had sunflower sprout up in one of the containers on my balcony garden, also from a bird. It was a funny, gap-toothed looking thing, not as pretty as yours. :))
I am so happy you made it over to see the sunflower. It’s amazing how nature will survive if it really wants too!
