Tuesday Tidbits #253 We Wish You a Merry Christmas

It’s Tuesday and here we are less then a week away from Christmas!

Hi Friends! Thanks so much for being here. I know your time is precious, especially NOW, with Christmas only six days away! I’m trying hard to ignore the to-do list and I’m making sure to still enjoy the little things. It’s hard though, isn’t it?

We just got back from a short trip to Texas to visit family. It was beautiful to see them and to also take pleasure in their surrounding community, all decorated for Christmas.

The entrance to the new Luckenbach Warehouse in Texas was full of gifts and clothing! So welcoming!
This is the entrance to the bar and gift store of Luckenback where locals and celebrities sing and play their instruments! Willie Nelson, Lyle Lovett, and Waylon Jennings have also been known to sing here as well.
I loved seeing what the trees were made of!

However, when we got back, I still had lots to do! It’s okay; it will get done. I will see our Community’s Winter Fest, have a Christmas lunch with a friend, host Book Club here at our place, and sit by the fire with sweet man while we open our Christmas cards from friends and family. I’m sure we will sip a seasonal cocktail while doing so!

Think of ways to delight in the magic of the season.

We sat and listened to these fine gentlemen from the Texas Hill Country sing a few Christmas Songs inside Luckenbach. It was so festive!

A few years back we were treated to Seattle’s Christmas Pops! It is still a fond memory!

Seattle Symphony

It’s okay to enjoy your Christmas pretties for dinner.

❤️💚

Sit by the tree and listen to Christmas music.

❤️🎄❤️

How about some Christmas Cheer?

We all may need to listen to this quote that I have framed in my office.

“Sometimes our Stop-Doing List needs to be bigger than our To-Do List.” ~Patti Digh

What are you doing to Enjoy the Magic of the Season?

Merry Christmas

Thank you for giving the gift of your time to us. We appreciate each one of you! This friendship of ours is precious! We wish you all a Merry Christmas filled with peace and joy!

A beautiful collection to remind us of the reason for the season.

  4. Nancy, thank you for sharing the lovely photos from Texas. You know my RM loves Luckenbach, it really takes you back in time to a slower pace. Your nativities are beautiful as is your home. I am working on just “being still” during this most wonderful time of the year.

    Merry Tuesday, my friend!

  7. Terrific photos! I appreciate it so much that people take the time to put up festive holiday decor or make a hay bale into a reindeer – just to put smiles on faces. And thanks for the reminder to enjoy the quiet times too. Take care!

  8. If your post doesn’t get us into the Christmas spirit, nothing will!🎄😊 Such beautiful photos and encouraging ideas. Merry Christmas, Nancy!

  9. Oh yes, a little Luckenbach, Texas is always needed for Christmas! The historic dance hall, live music, 500-year-old oak trees, cowgirl boots and the town motto – “Everybody’s Somebody in Luckenbach.” is charming in a million ways!!!

  10. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you! Your home decorations are beautiful, and I enjoyed the photos from Texas especially the wooden crafted decorations. There won’t be a white Christmas here this year, and we’ll hope for no more floods. Wet, wet winter from rain. Enjoy your holiday week.

  11. Have a lovely Christmas, Nancy and I’m wishing you and your Sweet Man a wonderful festive season. I’m taking a time out (just a few days, or perhaps a week or two) but I’ll be back and look forward to reading your terrific Tuesday Tidbits next year.

  12. Nancy, it looks like you had a wonderful time in Texas! Your Christmas tree and mantel are beautiful! Thanks for sharing the quote about the To-Do list. I have been working off one of those all week, and I needed to be reminded to slow down. My sweet friend, may you have a Merry Christmas and a healthy and happy New Year!
