Christmas Lights and  T.V Show

I am in the MidWest at the moment! I am in to see Family and Friends!

I had to come check out the Famous Place in town that gets all decked out for the Holidays. I hear there are even more lights this year!  Because this house was trying to be  featured on a National Christmas TV Show called the Great Christmas Light Fight. I am not sure if this house will be featured on the show on Dec. 7 but it sure was nice to see all those lights.  The house next door has just as many lights… don’t you think?

I took both these photos with my iPhone and am posting from my phone again. (I think it is getting easier!)

So does your town have a special neighborhood that Decks the Halls with colorful lights?  Do you decorate your house outside for the Holidays?

                   Until next time~ Nancy

  1. Oh my gosh – those are LIGHTS on steroids. LOL We use to drive all over so the grands they could see holiday lights. I also crawled around in the ice and snow stringing extension cords to light up trees and such. But, now that they are teenagers and only look at lights on their electronic equipment, I save myself from that job. LOL We have a local race track where they set up displays of lights, you pay, and drive around to see them. We haven’t done it but others have said it was nice. Our local newspaper also lists various areas where you can go see good lighting displays. Your iPhone did quite well with those night photos. Good skills. 🙂

    1. I don’t do much in the light department anymore as well.Just enough to give us some sparkles. Got to have a few sparkles at Christmas Time! I will post my few sparkles…when I get back. As for the iphone taking the night picture… I have to agree. It did a great job!

  2. Our neighbourhood is far more modest at Christmas time. I most appreciate the folks who take the time to decorate the natural trees in their garden. Great photo!

    1. I am getting to old to decorate too the extremes. I have a little bit of sparkle that sweet, sweet man and I did. When I get back I will post a picture. I have to say it is quite natural. Which I prefer as well. Thank You for visiting!

  3. I do love Christmas Lights, especially when there are tons of them. Before retirement we use to walk at 4:45 (yes, in the AM) and I loved this season when I could enjoy the lights with the morning quiet:) These are awesome houses!! I bet the old electric meter is having trouble spinning fast enough:)

    1. I often wonder about the electric bill. Whoa! I do love looking at others displays. But I do not like putting them up. We just have enough sparkle… cause you just need a bit of sparkle for Christmas. How else will Santa find his way to my house??? 😉

  4. Everyone in our neighborhood wraps their street trees with green around the trunk and white or clear lights in the canopy. It’s a nice effect when you walk or drive through.

    1. Oh I bet it is absolutely stunning!
Standing at one end of the street and looking down must be breathtaking!
Thank You So Much for visiting! Stop by again…please.

  5. Wow that is some serious use of electricity! So pretty. Our block has some lights and we usually do some. When the kids were little we were much more into lots of lights. We do have some fun large Christmas balls on our outdoor tree.

Thank You So Much... for sharing your kind words. I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy schedule to share your thoughts.
