Tuesday Tidbits #281 Summer Fun!

Welcome!

Hey there! Glad you are here. I always enjoy spending time with you every Tuesday.

Thanks for being a friend!

Independence Day

How was your 4th of July? I trust your 4th went well, and you got to do exactly what you had in mind. Our weekend was jam-packed with plenty of exciting activities.

Seeing so many people of all ages coming together for the 4th of July weekend at the Lake for the festivities and our College Campus for fireworks was heartwarming!

Our small town truly knows how to honor America! It fills me with such nostalgic warmth. The memories of my teenage years come rushing back. The parade, the swimming competitions, and the fireworks get better every year. I also enjoy being with friends and family and chatting with pals from a long time ago.

Many came out for the festivities!

Duck Race

On the 4th of July at 3pm. we had a Rubber Ducky Race at the creek that exits the lake. Many people enter the race by buying a Rubber Duckie for $5. We purchased one but ours did not win. It is a Fundraiser for the local Kiwanis.

They travel down the creek for about a 1/2 mile.

Here they come to the finish line!

The Duck Race was fun to watch!

Boating

A tube has been added to our boating fun. We had an absolute blast tubing on the 4th of July, surrounded by a bunch of other folks enjoying the lake just like we were. I can’t wait to do it again when the lake is more peaceful.

Boom! Boom! And Sparkle!

Gathering with friends and family to watch the Fireworks!

Sparklers Fun!

Take Me Out to the Ballgame

We had a lovely evening at the Ballpark, watching the Erie Seawolves win! A rainbow helped make the win even better!

Meet the mascot C. Wolf!

We enjoy watching the Seawolves, especially when they win! They are a minor league team, and the Double A team of the Detroit Tigers.

We always enjoy our time at the Ballpark!

But even better with fireworks!

As you can see, we had a terrific 4th of July weekend.

That’s all I have for you this week.

Thank You!

As I always try to convey… we sure do appreciate all of you. Thank you for joining us for another Tuesday Tidbits.

We are wishing all of you a wonderful week ahead. Enjoy what this upcoming week brings to you. And whatever you have planned… make every day count and be thankful for your Blessings.

    1. Crazy indeed!
3 large trash cans full of 4” rubber duckies went down the creek! They were all retrieved at the other end!

  5. Fun times Nancy! That rubber ducky race is hilarious, love it! We had a great 4th too, we can see fireworks right from our deck, they shoot them at a resort that is nearby. We also have a festive parade in my neighborhood that the kids enjoy. Isn’t it wonderful to see so many celebrating the red, white and blue!

  6. Good morning, Nancy! It looks like you had a wonderful Fourth! We had a great one too. All of our family gathered at our house for a BBQ dinner and fireworks. It was such a fun time celebrating our Country’s birthday. A baseball game sounds like fun, and the rainbow is so pretty. Wishing you wonderful week!

  7. Great post! Looks like you had an awesome 4th! I need to do better and take more photos. We went to a rodeo on the 4th and many people really accessorized with red, white and blue everything! :o)

  8. This looks like such fun and so festive, Nancy. I miss a good July 4 parade — those have always been fun. Everyone gets into the act. Love the sparkler pic, too. So nice you grew up there and have a network of friends to celebrate with!

    1. This Lakeside community is fabulous! There are so many volunteers who come out and make sure it all runs smoothly.
Thanks for enjoying our Summer Fun! 🥰

  9. Now this is truly an Americana 4th, Nancy! Our small town doesn’t have a central town square…to rural, so seeing yours was heartwarming. Lots of fun activities but the duck race was the best. That must be fun to clean up after!! Hanging out on the water looks wonderful too. Thanks for linking and have a fabulous week!

    1. The Kiwanis have it all figured out! They have large foam noodles spread out to stop all the ducks and then they funnel them into a large can. Amazing!
We are proud of where we live! A great community!
Thank you for enjoying our Summer Fun!

  10. Nancy what fun you had celebrating the 4th. All your activities look so exciting. We had a parade in our small town and ended the evening with RED, WHITE And BOOM! which is an annual celebration. Luckily we can see it all from our home after a fun day of BBQ Ribs, potato salad, baked beans, and chocolate cake and home made ice cream. I love the memories your pics invoke and perhaps it is my age, but I find myself reminiscing more and more lately of such wonderful family events of my youth. Thanks for sharing and keep cool and it is very hot here in SW Florida…we love to cool off in our pool….and you have your beautiful lake. Hugs my friend.

    1. I am so glad you enjoyed your 4th of July. It sounded incredible!

And hugs to you as well!

  12. Your 4th of July celebration looks fabulous. I love to see people supporting America and celebrating our freedom. No matter how crazy things are, I still love the USA and all of those who fought for our freedoms. ❤️🤍💙

    1. I agree with you.
Our 4th here is quite fun! Starting on the 3rd and finishing up on the 5th.
Thank you so much for enjoying.
      Have a lovely day.

    1. You said it so perfectly!
Thanks so much for stopping by.
I hope all is well with you.
Enjoy the rest of your week.

  13. So much fun and you were in it all. Nancy, you are amazing and so full of life. That’s something I love about you. I would love to float down that river and to ride on the raft pulled by the boat. How fun is all of that? I’m glad you had a great time. Happy rest of July. xxxxx

  14. My browser (seems to) be working again – yeah! I loved all the fun and frivolity of this post, Nancy. I can imagine you and your Sweet Man kicking up your heels while waving your (little) flags. 🇺🇸 I can see you had a lovely time.

      1. Thank you Miss Nancy – I’ve tried another browser, but I can’t do it 🥲 I like this one too much.

Thank You So Much... for sharing your kind words. I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy schedule to share your thoughts.
