When I started this blog over a year ago, the first thought that came to my mind was my Dad.

Dad was a hobby printer and he would set type and publish small articles. Then Dad bought a computer. His world changed for his monthly newsletter called “TidBits.” Word publishing was a cinch now on that computer! Sure he still set type but boy did he love that computer!
My siblings and I have all said…If he were alive today he would be blogging and his “TidBits” would be all over WordPress!
The second thought that came to my mind when My Blog began…
was how Blogging is a community… all of it’s own.

A virtual community. We are all here to support each other. And sometimes we get an extra treat to meet our virtual friends. I have had that opportunity!
Ingrid from Live Laugh Rv and I first met for Coffee. We hit it off and we chatted on and on! Then we got together another time at The Desert Botanical Gardens.

What fun we had capturing all that we could!

Serious photography was going on…
Even the Creatures stopped to see what we were doing!
Of course, seriousness leads to fun and games!
Blogging has become a great joy to me. Who would have thought friendships would blossom? Thank You Ingrid for reaching out to me. What fun was had and more fun to come!
Until Next Time ~Nancy
You two had fun and got lots of great photos of plants and critters.
That we did! Thanks for coming over for a visit. I have cookies baking!! Want one?? 😀
Cookies are always nice with coffee!
Wonderful post. Loved the tale of your dad and son. Special times and speaking of special times, I had a great time spending the day together at the Botanical Garden. I look forward to more get togethers and photo outings 🙂
Thank You My Mentor and most of all My Friend! It was fun to put together! Oh yes, we will be ready for more fun anytime!
Love it
I knew you would! 🙂 🙂
Looks like you had a wonderful day in a beautiful setting. How fun!
A fun day was had! But best of all… through this little ole blog I have made so many friends. Now I want to meet them all. Including YOU! 🙂
That would be great fun!
Love this post! Great stories and great photos. Blogging is indeed a great community. I hope one day to meet some of my blogging friends in person!
You just never know!! Thank You for enjoying my post! It was a fun one to put together! 🙂
Nancy that’s just how I feel. Blogging has brought so many new friends. How fun for you and Ingrid to get together. Such gorgeous photos. I am smiling thinking of your Dad who was ahead of his time. I imagine he would be loving the blogging world as you do. 🙂
You got that right! Thank you for stopping over. I love when people take the time to comment. You are a delight!
Thank you Nancy. I love the conversation too. 🙂

Great shots…love them and I’m glad you got to do the Chihuly exhibit last year when it was there!
Yes… we did! I had seen Chihuly at Bellagio in Las Vegas but that was it. Seeing Chihuly at The Desert Botanical Gardens was FABULOUS!
Isn’t it incredible! I love his work at the Bellagio and lived the display here last year! I seen a similar display as we had in Columbus Ohio a few years back and then we came across a “permanent” display in Seattle at the Seattle Center next to the Space Needle….it is HUGE….it is a little pricey to go thru it, but so worth it…gardens and a large building and solarium filled with his work! If you ever go up to Seattle its a must see!!!
Thank You… I just might as we are thinking of a cruise to Alaska out of Seattle. How about that?? Thank You for the great info!
Perfect!!! All the cruise ships leave from downtown and you just take the monorail over to the Seattle Center from downtown!
Yea! That should be easy! Thanks!
What a wonderful post! It’s funny you’re telling this story, as I recently found out I’ll likely be in the Phoenix area for a wedding this fall. I’d thought I might contact you. It was that post about wine and cheese that planted the seed. 🙂
Well, let’s make it happen! Hopefully you will have time to slip away before the wedding festivities. The seeds have been planted… 🙂
Eeeee! Will do, Nancy.
The community is why I don’t want to give up blogging.
You said it so perfectly! The Blogging community is extremely supportive. Plus… it’s how Ingrid and I became good friends.
I’ve got a lot of virtual friends this way, and also met some Bloggers in person and have become good friends with them – like you and Ingrid.
Yay!
I have to tell you. Ingrid is a phenomenal photographer as you already know. (You and I became friends through her blog.) She has given me lots of pointers about photography and blogging!
One more thing about blogging: I hope it helps to further understanding among people.
